Booked here as a little “honeymoon getaway,” and with the exceptional help from Amanda- was able to make it extra special for my partner and I with a rose petal pathway, balloons, etc. She exceeded any and all expectations, I wish I was able to give her, and this GORGEOUS property more than five stars. She certainly deserves it. We will definitely be returning!

The house was clean and very cute. There were plenty of supplies. The storm door at the front door didn't latch properly and we needed to keep it locked. A piece of the hot tub wasn't in place and I had to put it back on to the best of my ability, but I almost stepped on it getting in.. The dishwasher was full and I had to unload it before I could put our dishes in it. Overall, we had a nice stay and I'd recommend this property.

The title does it justice, "Slice of heaven". It is a pleasantly relaxing property (after getting settled in). Upon entering the upper gate there is a steep decent on the beautiful rock slab stairs. It is much like hiking going down and up especially. After opening the front door you find the bedrooms, two with a beautiful view of the lake! The stairs going down to the main part of the house are long and steep. So, between the two sets of stairs, if you're bringing alot of luggage and groceries, be prepared for extreme exercise. However, once you arrive downstairs this is where the magic happens. The windows and doors provide an amazing view of the lake and allow easy access to the deck and patio. The backyard has multiple hangout areas to watch the boats, the ducks and listen to the charming clocktower. The hotub and firepit add extra relaxation. The kitchen area and living room are comfortable to hang out in. There is a roomy, comfy couch and large TV. This is truly a "Slice of heaven". We didn't want to leave.

Beautiful stay right on the lake! Our kids enjoyed the nearby ice cream shop, fishing off the dock, and use of the kayaks. We rented a pontoon for a few hours to relax and drive around the lakes. A short drive to Cleveland to the beach, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Market, Progressive Field, and some hiking at Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Plenty of TV channels and the hot tub for relaxing at night.

Great place for a quick getaway right on the lake! Host was extremely responsive and the pictures show exactly what the property is like. The kitchen was great for making family meals, we enjoyed eating on the deck overlooking the lake, and using the hot tub and kayaks. Great stay!

Incredible Home

This home is in the perfect location. It was stunning in the evening. We did have a little bit of an issue with a shower not being cleaned properly however the host got back to us immediately and apologized and also offered to send someone over right away to clean it. She responded to all our questions immediately and was very kind to us. It was hot inside however she turned the air down and it did cool off. The home was also beautiful inside as well as out. And if available we will definitely be renting this beautiful amazing lake cottage again next year for our founders day vacation. Thank you so much for our incredible stay. 12/10 recommend any time.

A True Slice of Heaven! Our stay at this lakefront cottage (Feb 14-15) was absolutely wonderful. The house was impeccably clean, and the cozy, inviting atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. The amenities were just as listed. You get a better view of the little lake than you can tell from the photos. The area was quiet at night.Shoes off at the door was a little tricky, because it was at the top of the stairs. We carried our shoes down when wanting to go out back.Overall, great place and we would come back again.

Memories to last the Summer

Fishing from the dock, right on the lake, kayaking before breakfast, and enjoying the hot tub. Portage lakes is such a fun environment, we all had a wonderful stay. Those stairs coming down to the property are killer, would not recommend for 70 year olds.

Six night stay

Had a fantastic stay! Property is welcoming, well-stocked and perfect for families! We enjoyed all of the amenities and were pleasantly surprised that a couple items we needed were available. The kids enjoyed the games and kayaks; the adults enjoyed the outdoor space and appreciated the multiple sitting areas. The property owner was exceptionally responsive, accommodating and helpful. Beautiful location within the lakes for a relaxing vacation with older children and extended family!
