The views are truly incredible!! So happy we stayed at Mountain Mama! House was very clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, beds were very comfortable, kitchen well supplied - everything you need to cook a nice meal (grill needs replacing though). Star gazing paradise! Close to excellent hiking - Humpback rocks trail. Overall fantastic!

Nice place

Very lovely place. Only thing I would say is the mattress in master bedroom needs replaced, having no end tables was challenging, the grill needs some work. Has a great week, breath taking views!

Second time here

We love this property! It was our second time staying here and the host was super helpful once again. The house is so well equipped and we all had plenty of space to spread out. It’s a great spot for toddlers, immediate family, and friends. Can’t wait to go back next fall!

Friends Long Weekend

Mountain Mama is a beautiful house, with everything you need for a comfortable stay and more. Kristina is a great host and checked to see if all our needs were meant several times. Beautiful views. This was a friend’s trip and all three couples had private accommodations and bathrooms. I recommend this home and would love to stay again.

Beautiful Location

We just spent a great week at this well appointed Virginia mountain home. It met and exceeded all our expectations. The owners have done a wonderful job in creating and decorating a lovely place to unwind, relax and enjoy the vineyards and breweries in the area.

Relaxing getaway

This house was perfect to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday with family. The views are more stunning than pictures can capture and the setup of the house is perfect! Everything we needed was provided so packing was simple and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in the area.

Beautiful views!

Mountain Mamma is a great place. Our hosts went all out to make sure that everything we needed was available at the house. Even a rack with a nice assortment of spices. The house was clean and the beds were comfy. Nearby wineries and hikes were fantastic.

Absolutely gorgeous

Here is why we'd stay here again in a heartbeat: - The views are JUST as they are in the photos - The beds are really comfortable - We needed to use a washer/dryer after hiking and they're awesome - We saw deer on the property! - The hot tub is rad (just remember to pre-heat it with the top on for 30-60 minutes, it'll take a really long time to heat up if you're already in it...) - Plenty of coffee and creamer - Scenic drive into Charlottesville - I mean. It's just lovely, gorgeous, a pleasure to stay in.

Convenient, spacious home

Beautiful home that is conveniently located near breweries, wineries, and trails. The house is also very kid friendly with a crib, high chair, toddler fishers, etc. The house is even larger than it looks on pictures. Would be great for 3-4 couples with a few little ones between everyone. We cant wait to come back!

Family Vaca

What a stunning view of the mountains ! We loved early mornings on the deck and late evenings too watching the sunsets! The kitchen was fabulous for our family of 6 to cook and be together ! The crib was a gift with our tiny grandson . We loved our time and daily getaways ! The hosts were fabulous and very responsive . We would definitely stay again !

Excellent view!

Super clean house. House as advertised. Looks to be recently renovated, so everything is clean and modern. Close to breweries/wineries/hiking. Bit of a windy road up to house. But rewarded with a great sunset view! Perfect one night stay to celebrate a birthday!

Girls Weekend

Beautiful house and even more spectacular view! Perfect location if you want to have privacy and still be close to some of the best wineries in the area. Kristina was always quick to respond and very helpful. The house was stocked with things that haven't been in other houses I've been to before. I hope to get back sometime in the future!

Deer, Marmot and a Raven, Oh My!

A terrific property! We traveled here recently for our son's wedding in Crozet and this home was perfect for several family members. Each room was clean and well appointed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. And there was plenty of space to hang out. Views from each room were outstanding. And, the four year old nephew travelling with us absolutely LOVED all the wild life he saw from the balcony. Deer were bountiful but kept their distance and the Marmot was a fun surprise. Our only thing to keep in mind is the steep driveway approach to the home. The 2-wheel drive SUVs managed but my AWD was a plus. That said, we absolutely recommend a stay if you're in the area.

A Dream House

My wife and I came here for a getaway and were absolutely blown away by everything this house has to offer. The location of the home offers privacy and is just a few short miles from some of the best wineries, breweries, and restaurants in the area. The best part of this house has to be the jaw dropping views of the mountains that can be seen from almost every room in the house. The house is beautifully decorated and makes you feel right at home. My wife and I kept taking pictures of all the decorations because we wanted our house to look just like it haha. The whole house was immaculate; including the humongous hot tub! The owners were very responsive and incredibly nice. I could go on and on about this place. My wife and I are definitely coming back and can’t recommend this beautiful dream home enough.
