"This is a great place to get away from it all. It was really nice to have a place on the water and sit around a campfire in the evening. The house/cottage is very clean, nicely decorated, and well-equipped. There aren't any stores or restaurants nearby, so stop at a grocery store in Ellsworth. There might be some firewood left by others, but it would be best to purchase some camp wood on the way. It is sold by seemingly everybody. Bar Harbor is an hour away by car. "

"The location is great, very secluded and private. Amazing views right out the bedroom window. Has that remote cabinet feel on the inside. It's about an hour away from Bar Harbor which was perfect for us to make a day trip down there.Also local oysters and lobster are abundant. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the shower, it was either way too hot or way too cold, should be a simple fix to switch the controls."

"Loved the cabin and the location was breathtaking. The owner provides paddle boards, kayak and all the essentials you need. 10/10 will definitely be booking again. It rained the whole stay and it was still the most peacful and relaxing place I have stayed at in a long time! Cant wait to try it again soon in some dry weather. "

"We came here for stargazing because this area has a fairly dark sky on the dark sky maps, and it was cloudy and rainy the whole time — BUT!!! This home was wonderful, warm, cozy and comfortable. "We were very impressed and happy with our accommodations. The home was just as it appears in the pictures, clean and cozy. The location was beautiful.
