Amazing stay in beautiful surroundings
This was our 3rd stay in this beautiful house. Perfect place for hiking, skiing and enjoying this beautiful surroundings. The house has everything you need, excellent communication with the owner. You can enjoy beautiful views from the balcony, excellent restaurant and shops in close proximity. Can highly recommend. Thanks again for letting us stay here.

Nice Home for Winterholidays

First Time Slovenia
We had a wonderful time in the house. Beautiful view of the valley while eating breakfast on the balcony. The house was in tip top condition. Since we were traveling shortly after the flooding I was grateful that the owner was reachable and able to answer questions about the situation in Slovenia. I can highly recommend Clive's house. Netter Urlaub
Wie schon von vielen geschrieben, es liegt an einem Berg. Der Weg dorthin ist sehr kurvenreich. Schön gelegen. Kuhglocken und Hahnkrähen sollten einen nicht stören. Das Grundstück ist leider nicht umzäunt. Das Haus und dessen Einrichtung ist schon in die Jahre gekommen und man sollte in ein Badfenster unbedingt investieren.

A lovely house in a tranquil and beautiful location
Eastern Slovenia doesn't have the hustle of Western Slovenia in August and for that reason you can have a great holiday here. The mountains are different, high rolling pastures backed by miles and miles of forest makes ideal hiking and biking country. Road bikes, gravel bikes or mountain bikes will be at home here...just be aware if you are on a road bike that some of the higher roads are not paved...gravel!! The scenery is spectacular, the people are very friendly and the food is excellent. The house was large and comfortable....the only downside (for 5 of us) was one bathroom...but that is the only negative and you know before you come. Other than that I would recommend anyone who loves the mountains or beautiful scenery to come and spend a week or more here!

Schöner Wanderurlaub
Soweit recht schön, allerdings ist das Objekt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt gegen Abend wirklich viele Ameisen unter dem Mittelblock in der Küche, danach sollte mal jemand schauen. Aber alles recht sauber und vor allem ruhig. 😉😉

Tolles Haus für entspannte Ferien
Schöne, ruhige Hanglage mit tollem Blick ins Tal und auf die Berge. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermärkte) wenige Kilometer entfernt in Zrece fanden wir ausgezeichnet ebenso das Restaurant in Gorenje (3km). Das Haus ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz auch für 4 Erwachsene (einzige Einschränkung: nur 1 Bad). In der Küche findet man alles, was man benötigt inklusive einiger Gewürze und einem guten Messerblock. Der Vermieter war super freundlich und stets erreichbar. Wir haben den Aufenthalt trotz eher schlechtem Wetter sehr genossen! Gerne wieder!

Wenn man Ruhe sucht perfekt
Tolle Lage in der Natur. Wir waren mit Familie und unserem Hund und wollten die 4 Tage einfach nur entspannen. Dazu ist dieses Apartment genial. Alles da, sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Tolle Lage in wirklich schöner Umgebung. Wenn man die urbane Nähe braucht, ist es etwas ab vom Schuss. Uns hat es sehr gefallen hier.

Lovely house in a lovely region
We really enjoyed our stay and managed to ski every day at nearby Rogla which is a great resort for beginners and rusty intermediates. The house was perfect.It was clean and warm with plenty of space. And the views were wonderful. Clive was very helpful and responded quickly to messages. I would definitely recommend his place and Slovenia as a whole.

Perfect winter holiday
This was our second stay in this beautiful house. It is perfect if you like beautiful scenery, short drive to Rogla ski resort, quiet, absolutely beautiful. Excellent restaurant near by and several supermarkets. The weather was amazing and plenty of snow. We enjoyed skiing in Rogla and would highly recommend it. Excellent communication with the owner, very helpful. Hoping to come back next year. Thank you

schöner ruhiger Urlaub
Das haus ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen und bietet einen umwerfenden Ausblick. Perfekt für einen erholsamen und stressfreien Urlaub. Für Leute die am Abend noch mal die Sau raus lassen wollen, ist es wohl ehr nichts. Denn in der näheren Umgebung gibt es dafür keine Möglichkeit. Das haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, dass man braucht. Wer im Winter dort hin will, sollte Schneeketten nicht vergessen!!! Die Straße zum Haus ist steil (Serpentinen) und wird nicht ständig geräumt. Das Skigebiet Rogla (15 Autominuten entfernt) ist mit seinen 12 Kilometern Piste nicht groß, aber für 1 bis 2 Tage völlig ausreichend. Alles in allem, war es ein schöner Urlaub und wir werden bestimmt noch mal hin fahren.

Sind zufrieden
Hat alles gepasst. Die Haushaltsausstattung ist umfangreich, eine andere Kaffeemaschine wäre gut gewesen. Wenn es im Außenbereich noch mehr Sitzgelegenheiten geben würde, wäre alles perfekt. Die Lage des Hauses ist für Wanderer ideal, der Weg zum Rogla führt dran vorbei.

Sehr empfehlenswert
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im sehr gemütlich eingerichteten Haus sehr genossen. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Kommunikation mit Clive war super. Ein perfektes Urlaubsziel zum Wandern und Radfahren. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Herzlichen Dank an Clive und Ruth.

Om helemaal tot rust te komen!
We verbleven in een heerlijke woning op een prachtige plek. Voor ons was het de eerste keer in Slovenië en we hebben ons hart een beetje verloren aan het landschap met bergen en vergezichten, de natuur, de cultuur en de mensen. Het huis staat op een mooie plek. Een auto is absolute noodzaak want je slalomt een kwartier de berg op vanuit het dorp. Dat levert prachtige uitkijkjes op. Maar je moet niet iets vergeten zijn bij de supermarkt. Het huis is comfortabel. Goede bedden, fijne stoelen, een geweldig complete keuken en prima geluidsapparatuur en tv (voor dvd’s kijken). Er zijn volop boeken, spelletjes en dvd’s. Wel allemaal in het Engels, dat vormde voor ons geen probleem. Maar het mooiste is wel het uitzicht vanaf het balkon en de kamer boven over het uitgestrekte dal en de heuvels van de prohorje.

Beautiful house
House was exactly as described, spacious , very clean , lovely neighborhood . View from the balcony was beautiful. Excellent communication with the host, very helpful. One thing that was really missing were bath towels. I know they were not mentioned in the description but I think this is essential . It's difficult for a whole family travelling from abroad to bring towels for everyone. Given that the bed linen needs changing, I'm sure the towels could be washed at the same time. Also, a hairdryer would be convenient. Apart from this we had a lovely stay and will hopefully be back! Thank you

Beautiful views!
This property was lovely, clean and spacious with gorgeous views. It was well equipped with lots of leaflets with things to do. Communication with Clive was great. The 3rd bedroom could do with curtains or blinds for the summer time and an ice /fridge box would've been nice. The only real drawback is next door's dog, who although is lovely and friendly has a tendency to bark first thing in the morning (prob when he's let out) so having a sleep in wasn't always an option!

Großes Haus in schöner Natur
Wer ein Haus im Grünen mit schöner Aussicht sucht, frische Luft genießt, gerne wandert und gut und ruhig schlafen möchte, der ist in diesem Ferienhaus gut aufgehoben. Nach anfänglichen Problemen (das Haus war bei Ankunft wegen eines Missverständnisses zwischen Vermieter und Reinigungskraft nicht geputzt) sehr zeitnahe und faire Unterstützung durch den überaus freundlichen Vermieter. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in diesem geräumigen einfach ausgestatteten Haus stimmt absolut.

Mooie omgeving. Is ook in de zomer fris van temperaturen zowel overdag als 's nachts. Maar daarom misschien wel goed omwille van de steeds warmere temperaturen bij ons in de zomer.

Lovely and spacious house
Clive's house is large, confortable, clean and peaceful. We had all what we need- except the coffee maker ;-) The region is beautiful and with a lot of activities for adults and children. You will enjoy your stay there! Clive is away but communicative, easy-going and friendly.

Our Summer Escape To Slovenia
We had a wonderful holiday staying at the house in Planina. The views are just breathtaking and many mornings were taken up just sitting on the balcony looking down the valley enjoying the sun with a hot brew. Like your last guest; who must have stayed the week before us, we did have a problem with ants for a couple of days when we arrived (especially on the kitchen sink island,) but a visit to the local supermarket for some ant repellent thankfully solved the problem, for us any-ways. There are some stunning walks in both directions as you come out of the house and despite being in the mountains the gradients are not too bad. My wife has a bad back and struggles walking up steep hills but did not have a problem. We made full use of the vast amount of DVDs and watched some pretty good films in the evenings. Comment: The kitchen facilities definitely stated there was a freezer in the property, however, there wasn't, and the fridge was a larder fridge with no freezer compartment, so we couldn't stock up when visiting the supermarket, an inconvenience especially as we were there for 10 days. Some ice for our drinks would have been lovely. We do have one suggestion that Clive and Ruth may want to consider. Sun loungers would have been really welcome, instead of trying to sunbathe sat on a chair. Some days we never left the house and spent our time reading and enjoying the hot weather. Having a sun lounger would have been ideal.

Thank you for taking the time to review. We think that sun loungers are a great idea and will add some on our next visit. Also a small freezer in the kitchen may be a good idea if we can find a space suitable. We haven't seen ants in the house before but will keep an eye on this. It's been a very hot summer which may explain why it's been a problem this year. You obviously really enjoyed your stay and we really do appreciate your feedback. Clive and Ruth

Very nice house in a beautifull landscape
We stayed a few days in the house. It is a very nice house in a even nicer surrounding. Because the house is packed with household items it just feels like home. The house was clean, there were fress towels and even the beds were made. Also a lot to do, or not if you just want to relax. One tip, you must need a car to get around.

Lovely View with some problems
The home has a wonderful view and is very quiet, but it may not be for everyone. We don't recommend this home for anyone who struggles with stairs....definitely not for anyone with young children. The indoor stairway is extremely steep...to the point of being dangerous. We had a toddler and it worried us continually. The home had lots of ants upon arrival. This can be taken care of, but make sure to ask first. They advertise that the property provides internet, but that really isn't true because you need to go to town to pay for the service and manually top it up each day. Even with all the hassle, the speed is very lacking. Most days our speed was less than 1mbps. Also, towels are not provided in the property so you need to bring your own if you plan to stay here.

We welcome the opportunity that Timothy has provided to respond. The staircase is open riser and has 3 tapered treads at the bottom the best way to judge the suitability of the stair should guests be concerned about mobility or the safety of young children would be to view the photographs on the website. The staircase can be viewed in the photograph of the dining area. We can provide a stair gate on request, however please note that we have a balcony to the main living space and to the principal bedroom which would require supervision of toddlers at all times. The internet is not normally 1Mbs more typically 3 to 8Mbs. Top up is made by credit card or voucher code purchased at shops and petrol stations. Typically 10 euros buys 5 days use, it is not necessary to purchase new credit everyday this is more usually done in one go for the duration of the stay. The website provides details of what is provided, however it would seem that in this instance Timothy read that linen was provided and assumed that this also implied towels . Unfortunately It is not practical for us to operate a concierge service in our location in Planina so please plan to bring your own towels. The beds are made up for the number of people staying so guests do not have to worry about bringing there own linen. We never experienced ants on the house before but they are in the forest so they may have been attracted by something in the house. We would naturally ask our neighbour to deal with this problem if it were to reoccour. Kind regards Clive and Ruth.

Fantastisch huis in de bergen
Het huis ligt op een berg, de smalle weggetjes ernaar toe zijn goed onderhouden en bieden de mooiste vergezichten. Er komt nauwelijks verkeer langs, althans in de laatste week van mei. Het huis ligt met vier andere huizen dicht bij elkaar, maar er is ook rond het huis genoeg privacy. We hebben buiten kunnen zitten, gebarbecued en in de zon gelegen op het grasveldje achter het huis. Het is er heel rustig, we hoorden alleen koeien met een bel om en de fluitende vogeltjes. Af en toe wat geluid uit de kleine zagerij vlakbij. Het huis is recent gerenoveerd, alles is erg netjes, schoon, ruim en licht. De badkamer heeft een douche, een wastafel en een toilet, dit is dan ook het enige toilet in huis. Dus met zes personen is het even overleggen geblazen. De slaapkamers zijn ruim en licht, de bedden zijn prima, hoewel in een kamer de ijzeren binnenveringen in de matrassen werden gevoeld. Een slaapkamer heeft zelfs een klein balkon. Je kunt kiezen of je naar de sterrenhemel wilt kijken en je door de zon wilt laten wekken of dat je de verduisteringsgordijnen naar beneden trekt. De gezellige woonkeuken is ideaal om samen te koken en te eten, en vanaf het balkon heb je een prachtig zich op de vallei onder je. De tv in de zitkamer, waar overigens heerlijk zittende banken in staan, kan een beperkt aantal zenders ontvangen. Wifi ontvangen lukte soms wel en soms niet. De hond van de buren is erg lief en enthousiast en komt vaak buurten. Het is een grote zwarte hond en in ons gezin waren er een paar helaas erg bang voor hem. De slipper die hij meegenomen had kwamen zijn baasje en hij de volgende dag keurig terugbrengen! Het huis ligt ca een kwartier rijden naar het skigebied Rogla en 25 minuten naar de winkels in Slovenske Konjice, dat een schattige, kleine oude binnenstad heeft. Ljubljana ligt op ca 1,5 uur rijden, net als Graz. Deze steden zijn mooier dan Maribor en Celje, beide op 3 kwartier rijden. Kortom, dit huis is echt een aanrader!

Wonderful situation
Much enjoyed stay at Planina. A lot of cold wet weather stopped us using the balconies or terrace, but 3 generations of family all had a great time, and indoor space was comfortable and roomy. We loved the views and found plenty to do around Zrece and Pohorje regions. Hope to be able to return some time.
