Host was very responsive. The cabin overall was amazing. Would definitely recommend bringing kitchen necessities, like 10 full saran wrap, Ziploc bags, would also recommend bringing some type of Lysol wipes to wipe down messes that you make. And in the winter time, make sure you leave your water dripping at night so it doesn’t freeze. Kevin was very secluded, even though there were people around you never felt like there was anyone that could see you or you could see their cabins very close to Boone several surrounding cities and absolutely beautiful town.

Our stay here was perfect! This cabin is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and really cared for - everything you would need for a trip is here from extra blankets, kitchen utensils and dishware, extra towels, shower soaps, etc. My husband and I stayed here with our dog for our first wedding anniversary and loved how quiet and secluded this property was - it was so peaceful and fun for our dog to explore the woods! We struggled a bit with our car since we did not have 4WD/AWD, but were able to make it up the hill each time - however, I definitely understand the strong suggestion for having 4WD. I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for a quiet mountain weekend far enough to be secluded but close enough to enjoy all that Boone has to offer.

We enjoyed our stay so much! This quaint cabin was well equipped and so clean. The bed was very comfortable and the motion sensor light at the top of the spiral staircase as well as the night light at the bottom were so helpful! We didn't end up using the fire ring due to rain, but it was very nice! Next time for sure. The location was perfect for all of the fun little towns in the area. The instructions for using all ammenities were clear and check out procedures were clear and not excessive at all. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to have a quiet getaway!

The cabin was great - very peaceful, clean, dog-friendly, and conveniently located. It's up a mountain road and set back in the woods a bit, which made it quiet. The driveway was slightly steep but our AWD SUV didn't have any problems with it. The cabin had a nice vibe and we sat outside in the rocking chairs quite a bit.We did several activities within 20-45 mins from the cabin which I would recommend:- Blue Ridge Parkway- Grandfather Mountain- Lynn Cove Viaduct- Cone Manor- Bass Lake Trail- Elk Knob Trail- Watauga Point Recreational Area- Laurel Creek Falls- Stick Boy Bread CompanyOverall would recommend!

We were unable to get up the driveway to stay at this location. But the description for this place and the signage on site stated that a 4WD vehicle is highly recommended, so this was our mistake and Kevin graciously worked with us when we could not make it up the hill.

Refreshing

Check-in instructions were easy to follow. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bed linens, towels, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap were provided. Very clean and nice place. Refreshing cooler air as we are going through a heat wave at home. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs listening to the bird's and seeing 8 deer 2 mornings.

Beautiful Mountain Cabin

Cabin is everything you want in a mountain cabin; beautiful setting in quiet surroundings, fire pit area and just-right outside lighting. Inside the cabin is surprisingly spacious, and the kitchen is better equipped than my kitchen at home! I would absolutley recommend anyone stay here; just be sure your car can handle 10 degree incline gravel roads!
