"We were just passing through Altenburg staying for one night so booked this based on price rather than aesthetic appeal and had no expectations of greatness. We were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room was large and clean with a good bathroom. The bar also helped things along. Overall I would recommend this hotel, it is much better than the picture would suggest. "

"This hotel was more "western" in the room size and overall expanse. We used the hotel as a base to search neighboring towns for genealogical clues to my fathers relatives. Nice big room and bathroom. Delicious breakfast (and dinner one night). Paid parking was onsite and convenient. The showerhead was in rough shape, but it was the weekend and I guess the maintenance staff wasn't available, as it didn't get fixed. Nonetheless, a perfectly enjoyable hotel stay."

"Great place for kids and for relaxing, but a car needed. The resort & adjacent town seems to shut at 8pm."

"We had a great 4 days in Elstertrebnitz. This newly renovated cottage exudes cuteness and relaxation. Property manager is amazing - friendly and helpful, we felt well taken care of."

"So many options for breakfast. Even fresh lemon for tea. Room clean and comfortable. Check in and out very easy. Was able to park right in front of hotel at no charge but they also have covered parking for a fee. "
