"My wife and I travel often and we have never received a more warm and hospitable welcome than from Neva and her husband. The house is amazing, built in the 1500’s and nicely updated. The location is convenient to explore the area and in a small cute town high on a hill. We made new friends during our visit and it was one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend if you are looking for a central home base for a few days and would like to meet some wonderful people."

"The Villa Maria is amazing, we had a thoroughly relaxing time. The pool was very well used by us all but especially my 2 children, the Villa has everything you need for a stress free holiday. You definitely need a car as it is so remote but in our opinion this added to the charm. The owners Valmi and Andreja were fantastic throughout. I would highly recommend the Villa Maria, my youngest is 9 and she loved it. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Valmi and Andreja."

"Very clean and check-in was super easy. Very nice hosts. A great place to relax and enjoy the surrounding olive trees. Very close to Trieste and Koper - so it's also a great location if you need to get groceries or want to go for dinner or drinks. "The hotel was located outside of the main tourist area but was a very easy walk from it. The apartment living space was large but the kitchen was small if one had the intention to actually cook in it. However for coffee, use of a refrigerator and a light breakfast, it was fine.
