A pure 10/10 :exceptional hospitality and breathtaking views! Our stay at Papaevangelou Hotel was truly unforgettable. The host was incredible warm, exceptionally helpful, and wonderful with our kids after a long drive. The rooms were simply "wow" spacious, cozy, beautifully designed, and honestly much nicer than the photos online show. The outdoor sitting area has jaw dropping mountain views, and the location in Megalo Papingo is perfect, with everything within short walking distance. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and served by a lovely team. A flawless 10/10 experience highly recommended for families!

This was a great lodging for someone who wants to explore the Zagori area. George and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. They offer a bountiful breakfast including local yogurt and pies. The architecture of the building fits perfectly with the traditional style that the region is known as. Being at the top of the Papigo village offers beautiful and uninterrupted view of Astraka mountain and the Vikos Canyon.

We had a fantastic stay! The room itself was great, as shown in the pictures, and with everything we needed. Bathroom was lovely, a very good shower (much needed after a long day hiking). An exceptionally warm and generous host who has lots of useful tips and suggestions, from places to eat to hiking paths and things to do. A brilliant breakfast including fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade bread and cakes, ham and cheese etc. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Great hotel in Papigo

This hotel has a wonderful view of the Towers of Astraka just across the valley. The room was a beautiful example of the traditional wood floor and ceiling of the area, and the hotel is built of stone with slate roofs. The hosts are a great couple, and provide warm service. The breakfast included local dishes which were delicious. We will certainly stay here again on another trip.

The trip I dreamed of

I’m so glad we chose this hotel! The hosts were friendly and helpful, the location was unbelievable! There were so many touches that showed how much they cared about creating a beautiful place to stay. If you want to be away from the crowds and In the middle of the natural beauty, this is the place for you. Well worth the drive!

We are a family of 3 - I made a mess up of the booking and got the dates wrong by a week! George (anglasised) was an absolute star, and made everything so easy! The rooms are amazing (we were on a tour of Greece, and we've seen A LOT of rooms) - the photos don't do the place justice. The breakfast was lovely too. I couldn't recommend Papaevangelou more, or indeed Papigo itself.
