Perfect for us

This was our second stay at this property. We love everything about it… great kitchen, comfortable living room, WiFi and television, washer/dryer, and comfortable bed. After a busy day in the park, it’s so nice to come “home” to this wonderful spot. Best of all are the kind, helpful, responsive hosts. Thanks for another great stay, Tom and Theresa!

First trip to Yosemite - dream come true

My husband and I have wanted to do a Yosemite vacation for years and finally booked it in advance (booked a year out so we could stay in side the park). We were there May 17-22. Turns out it was a perfect time to be in the park. The rental was superb! Great location - Yosemite west residential neighborhood was approx 30 mins from the valley. Very close to Glacier Pt Rd (which had just opened the prior weekend). Also about 40 min drive down to Wowana. Amenities were fantastic! Very roomy for 2 people, 2 extra twin mattresses if you have kids or another 1-2 adults (extra fee I believe). Large full kitchen, comfy bed, nice bathroom, etc. Hosts are wonderful! Have lived there for about 20 years, very experienced and knowledgeable about anything you need help with. Tom was so kind to give excellent detailed advice and tips, all of which we used! Would stay there again definitely!!! Staying inside the park saved so much time and offered great flexibility with daily schedules. We got up early every morning, did a hike, came back for lunch and a nap, and headed out again for an evening adventure every day. 5 stars!!! Zero complaints or critiques!!!

Great Yosemite West home away from home

Tom & Theresa’s guesthome in Yosemite West was perfect for us and exactly as described. It’s a beautiful, very comfortable and well-appointed home with a great kitchen. Tom is an extremely knowledge, very responsive host and we enjoyed our conversations with him and appreciated all the info he shared.

Simply the best!

From the inital booking to checkout, Tom and Theresa were amazing. The house was exactly as described, very clean, comfortable and fully stocked. Tom kept in constant communication with me, providing lots of additional Yosemite information which was extremely helpful for a first timer to Yosemite and first timer solo hiker. I cannot wait to come back and stay again. The location inside the park was perfect..about 30 min to the village or to Mariposa area. I loved every minute! Unfortunately Tom and Theresa were out of town, would have loved to meet them in person and hear their adventures! It was a perfect 5 night trip, made better by this great place!

Perfect location and beautiful home

Tom and Teresa did not disappoint. The pictures and descriptions about their home were accurate. They were very informative, answering my questions, sent documents detailing directions to their home and Yosemite key points . The house was VERY clean! It had everything we needed to cook and make ourselves at home. We will be reserving this place again for our next trip to Yosemite.

Great Yosemite Vacation

We had originally booked our stay at a hotel in the valley, but after a bit more looking we stumbled upon this VRBO listing, and I am glad we did. The location is perfect, about 25min from the valley and also close to Glacier Point and other popular hikes. Having a full kitchen and grill made cooking meals easy. The listing was 100% accurate, the property was clean, and exactly as described cant ask for more than that. Finally, Tom was great, offering tips on what to see on our visit and also amazing directions on how to locate the home. We would 100% stay there if we return to the park - thanks again!

Alpine Escape Yosemite West

This property was immaculately clean, beautifully furnished, very comfortable, quiet and in a great location for visiting Yosemite National Park. The kitchen was well stocked and the washer and dryer were a big plus. Our hosts, Tom and Theresa, were a great resource for park tips and information and we followed some of Tom's great suggestions for additional things to do in the park besides our planned ones. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to do them all! This property was perfect for us as first time visitors Yosemite due to the property itself, the location and our hosts. I absolutely recommend this property if you are planning a visit to Yosemite National Park.

First visit to Yosemite

Our first trip to the area. Loved the location..in the park and it felt like home during our 5 day stay. Full kitchen , washer/dryer and comfy beds. We traveled with our 16y/o and 19 y/o. The “nook” with two beds worked great! Tom was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us great suggestions on hikes and things to see. So many great memories made! Thank you for making it great Tom!

Perfect stay!

This house has more than you could ever expect! During our stay, there was a power outage for at least 5 hours, and our house was the only one on the street with lights on, thanks to its batteries. It made a huge difference! Tom was incredibly attentive and cordial, providing us with all the necessary information. The house is perfect for up to 4 people and is located within Yosemite, although it is about 30 minutes from Yosemite Valley where you can find groceries. So, come prepared. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Alpine Escape Yosemite to anyone looking for a comfortable and reliable place to stay.

Amazing stay

We were so happy to spend a week at Tom and Theresa’s home. The unit is immaculately clean and exactly as described on VRBO. We were lucky enough to have Tom’s expertise to help us plan our days and he provided a lot of history on the park. The central location of the house could not be better. It was a perfect place for our family of four (2 adults and 2 teens).

A Perfect Yosemite Getaway

The property was well appointed, clean, well stocked and comfortable. The owners were very kind and found someone to put our chains on our tires in the snow. They were very understanding about our fear of driving in the snow and offered accomodations in case we couldn't make it out. The location is perfect for visiting attractions in the park. Really very nice.

Great place inside Yosemite gates!

Well appointed and comfortable. Easy in and out with no stairs. Fireplace gave great ambiance and no firewood required. Best part you are within the Yosemite gates so no waiting in line to get in.

Perfect rental

The owners have tremendous attention to detail and have forgotten nothing in their attempt to make their apartment comfortable and well equipped. After long days at Yosemite we felt like we were coming home. The half-hour drive from Yosemite Valley is on a long, curvy, mountain road, but the house is much closer than most other rentals. This a great place for a couple to stay while exploring Yosemite National Park!
