We had a wonderful stay and the property is beautiful. We’d love to come back in the winter sometime. The power went out for the last 16 hours of our stay which is out of the control of the host and not remotely their fault but they didn’t answer when I called about how to properly check out without power. I think I figured it out anyway though. The house and amenities were perfect and the location was great too!

Family trip to Yosemite

Very impressed with this property. It exceeded our expectations. It was conveniently located, very well stocked, and comfortable. What a wonderful bonus to have the hot tub and game room. Our only complaint is the puzzles. We tried and put away 3 different puzzles. Each puzzle in the house’s collection had several missing pieces making them much more difficult which became a running joke for the stay.

Super tolles Ferienhaus!

Wir waren vier Nächte vor Ort und fühlten uns super wohl. Das Haus bietet sehr viel und ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Es war alles super sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Schlafzimmer, Bäder und alle weiteren Räume lassen keine Wünsche offen. Gruß, Christoph

better than expected

Sometimes photos of rentals make them seem "larger than life", but in the case of the Apple Tree Bear House, the real deal was better than could be expressed by photos. The charming details were many. Wish we had more time to spend there!

Perfect house for a large family

We were only here for 2 days, but the house had everything we could possibly need. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all the amenities and the game room downstairs was fun. The hot tub out back was very nice

Yosemite great stay

Pros: spotlessly clean, kitchen well stocked with great appliances, outdoor hot tub was awesome after hikes, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood with convenient small general store and walk to Chilnualna Falls hike and swinging bridge over river. Cons: None. Just go.

Fantastic place to stay

We really enjoyed staying at this place. It had everything we needed for cooking. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day in the park. It was a perfect size so you didn’t fell like you were on top of everyone. We will definitely stay here again when we come back!

This is a very spacious well-kept home. The owners clearly have taken great pride in providing guests with all the special touches to offer a cozy & comfy experience. Everything worked well. We loved the book about the story of the house, which will remain a treasure and will allow our grandson to remember his trip with us. Two easy suggestions are: (1) Cleaning the ceiling grate in the bathroom (dusty) (2) Providing a few tissue boxes Thanks so much for an outstanding stay!

5 Star Property

A truly great property. You've seen the beautiful pictures and know the great location, but this house is also roomy enough to hold two families (4 adults and 4 kids) comfortably, cozy and warm even during our winter stay, has high quality mattresses and bedding (a pet peeve of mine in vaction rentals), high quality hot tub, foosball and ping pong. 5 stars across the board!

Amazing home.

We loved this home! Every room had its own bathroom. It was so cozy. Highly recommend and would go back. My only complaint is the property managers called 3 times at 8.30pm To welcome us and they called from The home phone. We had kids sleeping so We hung up. They called 2 more times and We’re rude to us. Other than that the home was so perfect for us and the 3 young kids we had there! Thank you!

Get away

Property was beautiful and just as described in listing. Kitchen was fully equipped and clean. There was a bunch if white spiders in garage and bedroom closets which is my one complaint. Walking distance from numberous hikes and photo shots. Very clean Property. We are already talking about a next visit and using the same house.

FANTASTIC!!!

The house was in great condition, perfect location, and fantastic amenities. We watched the deer in the meadow across us at night while we grilled and ate dinner on the deck. The creek and other paths are close, and the spa was a welcome respite after long hikes in the park. PERFECT!

Great Stay inside Yosemite Park gates

Great Property inside the park gates... it was nice to not have to wait in the long car line to enter the park each day. About an hour drive to Yosemite Valley area, but lots of great hikes close to the house too. The hot tub was a great addition and the a/c worked wonderfully. Property was clean and ready for us upon arrival.

Best Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our vacation in Yosemite and our 2 night stay in Wawona. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the house. The jacuzzi was clean and really nice. We didn't spend a lot of time in the house because we were enjoying the outdoors but we did enjoy the time spent there. The only thing that I wish we knew is that we had to supply paper towels. We only had 1/2 of a roll there. Not that big a deal, just an observation. Overall is was great!

Perfect Yosemite Getaway!

The house was extremely well stocked, neat, comfortable and a great location. It literally had everything we needed in the kitchen and beyond! I mean there's a slow cooker, an ice cream maker, a blender and more! There were basic spices and oil as well. Tons of space, fun games and puzzles. It was awesome! My only true disappointment was that the fireplace was "broken" by a previous tenant and I was not informed of this. I would have liked to know and perhaps been given the option to swap properties since I am a fireplace freak and we were REALLY looking forward to using the fireplace. Also, more paper towels are a definite must have :)
