The cleanliness and the location are wonderful. Host was responsive and answered any questions we had. We loved the fact they had an adorable Christmas tree in the living room! The TV was the only issue we had but we were not there very much so it didn’t matter that much. We will stay there again on our next trip.

Charming cottage, perfect location, excellent hosts, and sparkling CLEAN! Truly spotless! The kitchenette is well-stocked and the living areas are spacious and cozy. Having a full and half bath was a life saver and the two twin beds were cozy and comfortable. We will absolutely book this historic charmer again.

Excellent cottage! It has everything, well decorated, comfortable, location and quiet.Hosts were great and answered quickly if there were questions as well they checked everything was ok after arriving.Comfortable bed, kitchen has everything needed, outlets for charging and this place is just great. Walking distance to many places too as well a good location if visiting Jamestown-Williamsburg.

The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed including a kettle which was very welcome for making tea. The nearest big grocery store is about 3 miles away. The property is in a very attractive area a short walk to shops, beach and water side attractions. The whole area is very attractive. We stayed 4 nights and regretted we hadn’t stayed longer so we could enjoy all the area had to offer.

Great area to stay! Short Walking distance to Waterfront with beach, food, and shops. Free Trolley also available. Very Friendly area! Close to Yorktown Visitor Center, short drive to American Revolutionary War Museum and Battlefields. Cottage was very clean and spacious. However, bathrooms are kinda small and shower doesn’t have strong water pressure. There is only one bedroom with a door, other bed is in open area outside bedroom. We enjoyed a short stay for our anniversary weekend.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable, and quiet. This cottage has all the amenities of a hotel, plus more. Full kitchen with provided cookware, one and a half bathrooms, large dining room and family room. Outside is as beautiful as it is inside, with a nice private, fenced yard to just relax in. Perfect location within walking distance to the beach and Water St festivities. There isn't anything negative to write about. Would highly recommend.

The cottage was clean and well maintained. There was a short walk to the beach or you could access the free trolley directly across from the cottage to get you where you wanted to go. It was nice not having to drive everywhere. The owners were quick to respond to any questions and provided information about activities occurring in the area over the July 4th weekend. Overall, it was a great trip and I would recommend the cottage to anyone interested in staying in Yorktown.

Walking Distance to the Beach!

Exceedingly impressed with the host’s communication—responsive, helpful, and kind. The cottage is unique, charming, and incredibly inviting. We loved being able to walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

I'd like to give 10 stars for location!

The cottage was in the perfect location for our visit to Yorktown. Once there we really didn't have to drive much. It is easy to walk down to the water, to the battlefield and the American Revolution Museum. We walked to restaurants and shops. The trolley that does a loop has a stop directly across from the cottage. The cottage had nice places to sit outside, plenty of room in the living area. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. Handicapped Accessibility: I use a wheelchair or rollator. I will give feedback based on the accessibility of this cottage because I always look for hints in the reviews. The town is probably the most accessible one that I have been in! Each trolley has steps that folds down to become a lift. No problems, no hassle, just friendly service! The shops were easy to get into and out of, also. The cottage has a lot of space in the living areas and the bedroom. The only drawbacks were the bathroom doors were too narrow to get the rollator or wheelchair into. They aren't big bathrooms so to make it work I just held onto the counters. The driveway is gravel. Very hard to get around on in a wheelchair or scooter. We did discover a back gate that lead to the street with just a few feet of gravel to get across. Overall: Loved the place and would like to go back!

sweet cottage!

Our cottage was the perfect place to post up for a week of exploring Yorktown and other areas in Tidewater Virginia. Very comfortable and well-appointed interior spaces along with inviting and nicely landscaped outdoor spaces. Easy walking distance to the waterfront and historic spots in Yorktown. Owners were wonderful and very responsive to questions.

Family Getaway

This house was exactly what my family was looking for. The house was clean and had everything that we needed for the week. The location is great, a quick walk to the waterfront or take a fun trolley ride since the stop is right across the street. There’s plenty to do in the area. I highly recommend!
