  • Wisteria Cottage es un encantador retiro romántico, con chimenea en la sala de estar y un bonito jardín. Fácil acceso a York a través del parque y paseo, a 10 minutos en coche.


    Estas cabañas de vacaciones de una sola planta (refs. 26225 y 29452), creadas a partir de edificios de granjas antiguas y conservando características originales, como ladrillos y vigas a la vista, gozan de vistas al campo abierto. Situados de forma privada en los terrenos de la casa de los propietarios, cada uno tiene su propio patio orientado al sur, donde los visitantes pueden relajarse y observar a las mascotas ovejas, gallinas y ponis Shetland mientras pastan en el prado adyacente en este tranquilo pueblo cerca del río Derwent. La histórica ciudad de York, famosa por sus calles empedradas, magníficos monasterios, museos, restaurantes y posadas tradicionales, es fácilmente accesible con el parque Grimston y se encuentra a solo 10 minutos en automóvil. Muy cerca se encuentran los Yorkshire Wolds, que inspiraron las famosas pinturas de David Hockney y Howardian Hills, excelentes para caminar y montar en bicicleta. A delightful cottage with stunning views in a relaxing environment.

A delightful cottage with stunning views in a relaxing environment. The owner Sally was so accommodating and provided a lovely cake and fresh eggs on arrival. The garden overlooked a small field with 2 gorgeous shetland ponies, sheep and chickens. We only scored less because we had a dog with us and there is no footpath outside the cottage which made any walking quite difficult so wherever we went we had to drive. Other than that it was absolutely fab. We had a great holiday. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage, with just about everything you could want (in it) for a break/holiday available, as well as being in a nice quiet location. The property itself was very well appointed (kitchen, bathroom etc.), with a lovely view out over fields to the rear. The owner arranged for a welcome pack (milk, fresh eggs,cake) to greet us, as well as being very freindly & approachable Would happily stay there again. There is so much provided, the owners have thought of everything you might need. The views are stunning and there is a private patio area to sit and enjoy the countryside. We can't wait to come back again - we would move in permanently if it were possible!

We had a delightful stay in this beautiful cottage. It is set in the most lovely rural location but within a 10 minute drive to a ‘park and ride’ to York city centre. Highly recommended.

Stunning cottage in a beautiful location with ponies and chickens outside the door. Every need catered for - Sally is lovely, helpful but not intrusive. Big open fire, great shower, comfy bed, peace and quiet, what more could you need - and all only 10 minutes from York!

This was a lovely comfortable cottage, full of charm.

This was a lovely comfortable cottage, full of charm. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The cottage was very well equipped with many thoughtful extra touches. We found the area very beautiful, and so quiet, yet it was just a short drive to the park and ride into York. We would go again.

Very grateful for the 'home from home' atmosphere afforded by Wisteria Cottages hosts. As our first reception in Yorkshire, we will made to feel welcome so much so that we will return to taste another season & enjoy the surrounds as yet unexplored. Historically interesting & memorable hospitality... as for beyond Wisteria... well if you can steal yourself from the enchantment of the accommodation, THAT fire place & the animated & friendly chickens, ponies & pheasants, you're also likely to find that further afield around Yorkshire. Thanks for the treats!

We were made very welcome, new laid eggs from Sally's chickens and a lovely home made Yorkshire Tea Cake, also apple juice in the 'fridge. Wisteria cottage was perfect for us and our dog, all on one level, and very comfortable. We hope to return next year.

Lovely, peaceful and relaxing stay.

Lovely, peaceful and relaxing stay. Welcoming hosts and animals! Stayed in Rusty’s Cottage last year but prefer Wisteria Cottage as more space inside and out with perfect views from all windows. Duke, our GSD, made friends with the ponies and loved lying outside in the sun. Would love to stay again.
