The cottage is in such a good location in Helmsley. We were there for a big family get together and having the dining room with the large table was ideal to host family members staying elsewhere. Lovely spacious and clean rooms with excellent views of the church. Amanda was very helpful.

The property is extremely well situated, minutes from Helmsley centre, with great restaurants & bars, the Black Swan & micro brewery were especially welcoming to new visitors & dogs. Amanda generously gave us an earlier check in than advertised & she left a hand written card offering a warm welcome & later check out time, a lovely, personal touch. The property is well equipped, especially the kitchen, has a welcoming, homely feel & is spotlessly clean inside. Due to the time of year, the garden & its furniture could do with a little attention. The wooden furniture looks tired & needs a clean/varnish or replacing. A property so close to the centre of Helmsley with private parking is a find. The advertising information says parking for 2/3 cars. Parking however could be considered a bit awkward & tight. One parking space is flat through a narrow gate, the second is on the slopped driveway. Parking for 2 medium to large cars or 3 very small cars is more realistic. The property is an excellent size, with 2 separate sitting rooms & it’s 3 en-suite double rooms could easily accommodate 3 couples or 2 families with children. The bed linen & towels are excellent quality, everything is impeccably clean but some areas need repairs or replacement. Walls & ceilings have significant cracks & whilst furniture matches the cottages style, it is dated. Overall this property was a find, with everything we needed,comfortable, clean, warm, close to Helmsley, spacious & welcoming

Our cottage was exactly as pictured and described. Our hostess left really good instructions and made sure we felt welcome with a personal note. The property location is absolutely perfect, close to restaurants, stores, and many shops; all within walking distance. It is a great hub for seeing the Moors, the Dales, and the Lake District. We couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Amazing Stay

This was just perfect! The house was well stocked including the kitchen and the location could not have been better. It was so lovely just to walk through the church yard to the pub for dinner. I would highly recommend and we will def. be back!!

Just perfect!

Five friends and myself stayed at the house at the end of September for three nights. It was just perfect for us. It was in a great location, which meant we were able to walk into Helmsley and enjoy some fabulous meals in the lovely restaurants. Can definitely recommend Coopers restaurant. The house was clean,, comfortable and had everything we could wish for during our stay. Communication with Amanda was good, too .Can most definitely recommend.

Ladies long weekend away/Birthday Celebration

Great location for accessing Helmsley itself & surrounding area. Property is situated in a quiet location a 3 minute walk from the centre of Helmsley with off road parking. House is well maintained, warm & clean with a kitchen & dining area suitablely equipped for self catering. We loved the space, thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely revisit. English Tranquility

The property is excellent. Owner has two properties side by side. We have stayed in one or the other on maybe eight occasions now. Owner is very helpful in all things. Property is very well furnished. The location is absolutely excellent -- within walking distance of anything your heart desires. Pubs, Restaurants, Food shops, Delicatessan, Theater, Church, bus stop all within 400 yards!! Property gardens are beautiful.

Fabulous property

Wonderful half term stay

I brought my three grandchildren to stay in this house in Helmsley, and what a wonderful time we had. The house was perfect, ideally situated - just a short walk into Helmsley, and it suited us really well. Three bedrooms, each with an en-suite, well equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room, and the bonus of the conservatory so that we weren't on top of each other. The house was spotlessly clean, and Amanda has thought of everything to make your stay totally relaxed. Thank you, we hope to return soon, and would have liked to stay longer this trip.
