"We had a lovely stay at this hotel and felt it offered good value for money. Both the view and the staff are its biggest asset. Staff were warm, welcoming and genuinely helpful. We arrived late after the nearby Migros had closed, and although the chef had finished for the day, he kindly prepared us some snacks. It was such a thoughtful welcome after a long journey. "The 2-3 staff members are good and deserve praise for running the hotel in its rundown condition. The hotel website gives the impression that it has recently been renovated with indoor pool, spa, and gym. None of that exists. We stayed in this hotel 5 years ago and it was clean and pristine. We were told then that it was to be renovated. The website and Expedia description are misleading at best and realistically lying. "I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay. It’s a small family owned hotel and the service was better than a lot of big hotels I have stayed at in 40 different countries! I enjoyed sitting on the patio enjoying their spectacular gardens. And Mom is an incredible cook. Every morning she makes something different."

The only issue we had was that the housekeeping crew did a terrible job at cleaning our room the first day we were there, they did not replace the towels, they didn’t make the bed and left trash throughout the room. "It was not well maintained. The fabric of the property was ok, but, not door locks etc. A shame. The setting was excellent and the pool was very good although the same depth all over..so not great for kids or smaller people. A/c worked well. We enjoyed our time there."
