The view and the location was amazing. Also, we loved that you could walk down to the downtown area easily. The place was not as clean as advertised. It smelled moldy, the blinds and outer bedding were dirty and dusty. The carpet was also not super clean. Many of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty when we first arrived. It was not well stocked. Very minimal bathroom supplies, no coffee. The view did make up for many of these things but we would not rate it a 10/10 as it was advertised.

We selected lodging based on view and this was the highlight of the place. Enjoyed watching sunsets from the deck. We enjoyed a family of deer that hung around, Laundry with quick wash cycle and parking in garage. Walking distance to great food at Drift Inn & Luna sea fish house. Clam chowder at Adobe Restaurant was creamy. Enjoyed hiking on beach trail. Saw 8 seals at Strawberry Hill Wayside. Doesn’t look like much from the road but worth the stop. Unique cobra Lilly plants at Darlingtonia St Park

What a warm and eclectic space! Each room is cozy and distinct with lovingly collected elements, amenities are plentiful, and the property’s gardens and ocean views are mesmerizing. Owners were easy to contact, there were no issues. Beyond our expectations of charm inside and within walking distance to the beach and quirky town shops and restaurants- we were in heaven! Can’t wait to go back!

Yachats is one of my favorite locations on the Oregon and I was so happy to share some time there with my family from the Midwest. We loved the quirky decor of Sunset Vista and there was plenty of room for the five of us to spread out. Highly recommended.

Best vacation rental ever!

Oh my, if you have an opportunity to rent this home consider yourself lucky! The home is beautiful, has everything you could want, and is full of creative touches including the delightful garden. If it rains, you won't be bored! The photos looked too good to be true but it's even better. The home is located in a beautiful neighborhood on a hill. The path to town is steep but short. We're ages 69 & 75 and had no trouble. And of course it's a VERY short drive to the little town, the 804 trail, or Cape Perpetua. You can't beat the 180 degree view that comes from being elevated a little bit. The view is to die for! We saw the most stunning panoramic sunsets! We also REALLY enjoyed the deck. It's unusual to find such luxurious deck furniture in a rental. We felt like we were taking advantage of every minute in Yachats with the view from the house and deck. We didn't see a whale this time but it's the perfect viewpoint for whale watching. Our contact person was Katy at Ocean Odyssey. She was absolutely wonderful. We had to make some changes to our reservation. She was always prompt, helpful, and kind. After 4 nights, we didn't want to leave. We're already thinking about how soon we can return. This was easily the best vacation home we've ever stayed in.

Amazing views

This gorgeous home was a perfect close walk to shops and restaurants. Outstanding deck views and full window views inside too. Home had everything we could have wanted and more. Cozy movie area for kids too. So many amazing tidal pools and hikes within 15 minutes! Would come back again!

Fantastic Views!

We were traveling on motorcycles with two other couples & Sunset Vista worked great for us! The home was clean and spacious. The large windows provided the most wonderful views of the ocean! The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware & dinnerware. There is no off-street parking, so it was nice to have the garage. Downtown was an easy walk away. Yachats is a beautiful little community. We’d stay here again!

Great views/Great location

Trail from house down to a decent bar/restaurant and the main road in town was a bonus! We had two rainy hours one afternoon. Wonderful to sit in front of the large windows and watch the sea and the rain until it was nice enough to get outside and hike along the coast.

Three college roommates reunited to celebrate our 80th birthdays in Yachats. Rain, high winds and big surf was predicted for our 3 night stay. The house location gave us a distanced but perfect seat for watching the excitement of the waves. The house is an artistic joy. It’s well equipped and furnished well.

Great time in Yachats

Beautiful property with lots of space for our group and the perfect view of Yachats bay. Very short hike down the convenient hill trail to town, the grocery store and restaurants. Nice to have the safe garage parking too. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

Clean, comfortable, convenient!

The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Nice, well appointed kitchen and comfortable furniture. The deck was divine. Great location and views

Very centrally located house with wonderful views. We were able to walk to our favorite restaurants in Yachats. The kitchen is well stocked and we found everything we needed. We have stayed at this house before and will stay there again if available.

Great view and location. Older renovation. But functional and clean. Could use newer TV's. Only one TV had a HDMI connector. We brought our Roku with us so we needed a HDMI outlet.

Great location, comfortable house layout

We recently stayed at the Sunset Vista house and enjoyed our stay very much. The house is centrally located a few blocks away from downtown and restaurants. Easily walkable up and down a little hill. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking items, dishes and basic condiments. The view from the deck is lovely. I would stay there again.
