Beautiful, quiet, and the perfect getaway! The house was very clean, there is a library full of books and movies, and the views are incredible. The hot tub was also very clean and a perfect way to relax in the evening. Already looking to book our next visit to this property!

Overall, the property is perfect for a small family. Beautiful view of the ocean with a picturesque stem running along the north side of the property. The lawn extends out to the beach with an unobstructed view. It is elevated a few feet above the sand stranded by large rocks with a path to access the beach if you don't want to rock hop. Some drawbacks:

Relax with a great view!

The house and location were perfect. Well stocked kitchen and fantastic view. We loved watching the Eagles on the beach & the trail to the beach was very convenient.

Great beach location, but some issues

The best thing about this house is the 30-second walk to a beautiful beach with zero crowds. However, the big west-facing windows cause the house to get very hot in the afternoon. This would not be an issue, except 1) the advertised AC did not work at all (in fact, it was gushing water into the house, and requests to have it fixed were ignored), and 2) none of the doors and almost none of the windows have screens, so if you are traveling with a dog (as we were), you may not be able to open them to help cool the house. Otherwise, the house is more or less as advertised. If they addressed those issues the beach location alone would make it a 5/5

Beautiful Home!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house and really loved the view and beach. Our only suggestions would be to have screens on the windows and patio door's:) Beds were super comfortable and the whe house was well appointed. We felt right at home! Had a little issue with the AC but staff was quick to respond and as helpful as they could be! Thanks so much for letting us stay!

Highly recommend!

Our three night stay was perfect - even the December weather was good for long dog walks on the beach, easily accessible by a short private path from the house. House is well-equipped and nicely furnished. Even though it’s just off 101, a tall hedge provides privacy. Yachats is just a short drive away, easy to pick up fresh fish or clam chowder at Luna Sea. We plan to come back to Sandy Seclusion— it’s a great place!

Right on the Oregon coast!

Great location for a small group just a few steps from miles of beach. Or, stay inside and enjoy the view of pelicans flying over the waves. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit!

Great rental if flaws are fixed

The most major was that the shower ran out of hot water after roughly 20 minutes. Fortunately only my husband and I were staying for a very short visit. Also, the path to the beach was overgrown and there was no sponge to clean the dishes. Please note that there is quite significant noise from the highway when outside, but none inside the house when all the windows and doors are closed; the highway noise faded into the background for us once we were outside for a while. The house was spotless and, other than the hot water, everything worked well and was in good condition. We would recommend this property highly once the flaws are fixed.

The Perfect Escape

My family and I had just a short time to enjoy ourselves and this was the perfect spot. Clean, bright, comfortable. We had a little hiccup with the AC unit as it was very hot outside and the property manager was right on it. We won't hesitate to return and we really enjoyed ourselves. I have 14yr old and 10yr old boys and a 2-yr old dog. Our dog is thoroughly depressed that we are no longer at the beach house...and we are too! Thank you for the great stay hope to return soon.

A huge Yachats Surprise

I cannot say enough good things about this property. Simple, clean, oceanfront and then some home. Privacy and miles to walk and play on the sands. House has most everything you could possibly want / need for any stay. There's also the much desired hot tub for a good rewarming after the cold Pacific water excursions you can have right from your back door. Will definitely come back to Sandy Seclusion and stay longer!

Relaxing beach trip

We had a fabulous beach stay!! The house was perfect, right on the beach. The walk to the beach was short and pleasant. Our dogs enjoyed having a large backyard to run around in as well. It is so nice finding such a great place that allows our fur children to come too. The house was perfect for us to lounge around, barbecue, watch the deer and wildlife in the backyard. It was a perfect relaxing trip for us. I do wish the sliding doors had a screen so we could have enjoyed the door open with the fresh air and sound of the waves. But it was a perfect trip for our little family! We will be back!!

Perfect Vacation Beach House

My spouse and I stayed for 6 days at Sandy Seclusion--soaking in the hot tub, walking on the beach with our 2 dogs, gazing at the night sky full of stars, playing board games on the big dining table, shopping up and down the coast, and eating great food at local eateries. The house was absolutely wonderful. It was very clean and well equipped. We loved the sliding glass doors that open onto the huge deck from the master bedroom, and we are fans of the well stocked book shelves. We will definitely reserve this beautiful home again.

A few days in paradise!

From the moment I walked into the home I felt relaxed. That's what a vacation is for afterall to relax and unwind. The soft music playing the neatness of this home. Then there is that view... WOW!!!! The beach was so beautiful. My pups and I enjoyed it so much. I spoke to a couple of locals and they were saying how "busy" it was. Well coming from Southern California, it was EMPTY. Maybe a couple of people walking by every hour or so. Perfect location for me!! Everything was as described and more. I look forward to another stay.

Be aware this is not a 2 bedroom house.

We arrived and there were dirty bags of laundry in house that would expect the cleaning crew come back and pickup at some point during our stay. There is a second room with a king size bed, but there is no closet for us to use. The closet is locked for the owners, so there is a second room with bed, but this is not a bedroom. General maintenance needs to be done, towel bar, toilet seat, painting.

Beautiful View

We had a goal of just playing on the beach all day and this home provided! The access to the beach was right in the backyard. The home slept all five of us very comfortably and we enjoyed sharing meals at the large dining table.

wonderful little gem on the beach

This was an extremely clean and comfortable rental. It is right off the highway which was one downside however once the doors and windows were closed it was silent. We had an amazing time and enjoyed the beach and the hot tub. it was quite child friendly as well. We are definitely coming back!

So clean and cozy

Our family loved this little house. The access to the beach was easy and close, and we enjoyed the sunsets every night from the hot tub. It was central for crabbing, the aquarium, whale watching and light houses! It was also stocked with so many things, even shampoo and conditioner :)
