"Room not properly stocked with tea bags etc Dust on stand and skirting boards. Door would not open fully as got stuck on the floor. Two single beds but not a lot of room to manoeuvre around banged legs on it. kitchen at breakfast - there was no butter 2nd morning and lack of mugs. There were coffee perculators but no coffee to brew only small instant for cups. Food in restaurant- ceasar salad was a big disappointment, chicken overcooked and salad not right leaves for ceasar salad. However staff...

"This was our second visit to the lodges and we weren’t disappointed. Room was spotless, good shower and plenty of sockets. The breakfast to go is a bonus and filling. There’s a lovely courtyard which we used to sit out and have supper. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of a hectic life this is the place to come and unwind. The host was friendly and gave us suggestions of places to visit. Will definitely go back again."

"The hotel is old and shows its age. A steep staircase rises to the rooms. There are signs of poor maintenance, stained carpets and a need for redecoration.The beds were clean and comfortable and, lights, TV, WiFi and the hot drinks kettle all worked well. The room was quiet despite being on the street side. The pub stays noisy until late on Saturday night. There are nice cafes nearby for breakfast and the location is central to the town for shops and the delightful Newnt lake park"
