Great getaway

Everything was as listed. Home was clean and all amenities were helpful. Yard was well maintained, and the view of the lake from the house porch to the lakeside patio was so peaceful. Relaxing and quiet. Also made use of the kayaks and canoe many times!

Great place for a family reunion

This was a beautiful, well equipped home for convening family members from Cortland, NY; Portland, OR, Seattle, WA; and Tampa, FL. It was a comfortable place for local family and friends to stop by.

Beautiful and comfortable place for a group

The house was the perfect place for family to gather over graduation weekend at UConn. The house was super clean and very comfortable for all of us. The weather wasn’t the best, but the view of the lake from the house and deck was beautiful. We also enjoyed spending time in nearby Putnam.

Excellent stay & Great space!

We had an amazing stay in Woodstock! House was immaculate and super clean. We loved the vibe inside as well as the views of the lake and the outdoor space. Quiet, cozy lake house with plenty of room. The master king bed was SO comfortable and felt like home! Would absolutely stay again. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and couldn’t have been easier to work with!

Immaculate lakeside home

Beautifully appointed home on a beautiful lake in Woodstock, CT. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, visiting nearby orchards and hiking the many scenic trails nearby. Many great restaurants in the area as well. Although we did not partake, there is a great rail trail nearby for hiking, walking, etc. The home listing is very accurate, the kitchen is well equipped, and the cleanliness of the home is top notch. In addition, the hosts Heather and Dan, were very responsive and were available to share “things to do” in the area.

Relaxing Vacation

We spent a week at the lake. Waking up every morning to the beautiful lake Quasset is something I could get used to. The house was beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed minus our groceries. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, fishing and just setting down by the lake and up at the house on the back porch. We are already planning on our next vacation. The host was very prompt at getting back to me anytime I messaged her. Anyone considering this as a vacation will not be disappointed.

Perfect New England lake experience!

Having grown up in New England and moved to CA, I really wanted to have the quintessential lake house experience I missed from my younger years. This place delivered! My husband and I rented the house and had my Mother come stay with us for the duration. My sister’s family was able to come most days and the host even allowed their dog to come and stay on the property (not in the house). Everyone who came commented on the amazing house, the tasteful décor and the beautiful lake. I swam each day I was there and the family enjoyed kayaking with the kayaks provided by the host. The neighbors are close on each side but the house still felt very private and we barely saw anybody. This house is also well stocked and we found everything we could possible need in the kitchen; we did cook several meals there. I could have happily stayed the rest of my life.

Best weekend getaway

What a wonderful weekend our book club had staying in the beautiful lake front house! So relaxing, and quiet! Great little town with charming little places to enjoy. Our visit to the local winery was so much fun and the gals there told us to check out a local town celebration which we enjoyed going to. I can’t think of one thing that would have made this weekend any better! We would definitely recommend staying here, and look forward to possibly making this a yearly destination.

Lakefront and lovely

Stayed here in early November and we were lucky to have great weather. House is very well appointed, spacious and has a gorgeous view! We went canoeing, sat on the deck and had a fire pit night, all of which were really nice amenities to have. We also visited Putnam for fantastic food and hit up Taylor Brooke winery. A lovely and relaxing ladies weekend for sure.

Birthday get away

My friends and I had a wonderful getaway weekend to celebrate a dear friends birthday. Heather's home is beautiful! The pictures you see on the site are lovely, however, the actual home is gorgeous! So big. So inviting. So relaxing. Fully stocked for your every need. The downstairs bedroom with private full bath was a godsend for my physically disabled friend. Shower even had grab bars ! The kitchen is large. The decorations through out the house are unique. The furniture was comfortable. The house is very spacious. The view of the lake from inside the house was beautiful, but from the deck it was stunning. The deck is large with a big table and lots of chairs. There is a great canopy so you can still remain outside on the deck even if it was raining ...warmer weather of course😉 I went out on the canoe with a friend. The weather was perfect. The lake is so peaceful. I highly suggest taking advantage of the canoe/kayaks. There is a firepit down by the lake/deck as well. We had just a weekend, but it was wonderful. We all agreed that we found our perfect CT getaway place. We will be back! A special thank you to Heather for being so accommodating and understanding when our original dates were suspended due to illness!! Thank you again!
