This was a perfect location to spend time with our grown children and grandchildren. We loved spending time at the lake and kayaking/canoeing and of course the Lilly pad. The lower level rec room was a great place to spend the evenings playing games.

we could not have enjoyed our stay more. The home was clean and comfortable as well as quiet. Beautiful to look out over the lake. Access to the kayaks made for additional fun for all. We also made use of the pontoon boat for swimming and fishing.We will be sure to book again next summer.Thank you

July 19, 2025 4 nights.This is our 2nd time staying here. We enjoy this beautiful cabin very much. My family and their kids enjoyed 4 nights . The fishing is good especially for the kids off the pier. We caught 2 large northerns. One we landed because we had brought our own net off the pier. Very exciting! We caught several bass . With a fair amount of bites but not quite landing them. Better luck next time! Love the kayaks and canoes. Enjoyed the pontoon boat and paddle boat. The Lilly pad is a big hit with the kids!!!!!!!We cooked all our meals here and the kitchen is somewhat stocked with pots and pans. We brought a few extra things up from experience the year before. The bedroom upstairs got warm and stuffy as the temperature outside went up. A fan would help up there. The basement entertainment is great for the kids at night. We found the mosquitoes were pretty bad at dusk. It prevented us from enjoying camp fires but not much you can do when by a lake in summer . The sandy area is great for the kids. I’m not good with technology so having everything connected to the WiFi for turning things on or the pad on the wall in kitchen I never did get that to work. I couldn’t get the pontoon keys back in the lock box up under the porch by the house when we left. Sent a message in VRBO to owner but didn’t hear back so I left the keys in the cabin. Probably my error with technology. This is a great place to rent and enjoy quality time with the family!

Favorite Northwoods Destination

Gresham Retreat never fails to deliver an excellent, stress free vacation. The privacy from any neighbors, good fishing right off the pier, swimming (with the Lily Pad float always a big hit), the many kayaks available, firepit and a beautiful house with room for everyone. Those are just some of the reasons we continue to make Gresham Retreat our summer vacation destination.

Family Extended Weekend

Great property with lots of amenities, pontoon boat, kayaks, paddle boat and more, for use by our family. This is our second stay at Gresham Retreat and the owner of the property is very quick to respond when questions arrive. They did a great job answering any question we had. I highly recommend booking this property.

AMAZING stay!!

Our stay was truly wonderful. The home is beautiful, with breathtaking views of the lake that made our trip extra special. We especially appreciated the spacious and well-appointed kitchen, which made cooking feel effortless and enjoyable, especially with a larger group of people.We also thoroughly enjoyed all the kayaks and the paddle boat that were available to us! A couple of things to note: we really missed having dressers in the bedrooms, especially since one of them doesn’t have a closet. Living out of a suitcase for several days isn’t ideal, and a bit more storage would make a big difference. Also, the fan in the main bathroom off the kitchen didn’t seem to be working, which was a minor inconvenience.That said, we truly loved our stay and are already considering booking again for next year. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with amazing views!

A perfect getaway

The cabin was exactly as pictured and the host was very thorough in describing the amenities! The cabin is gorgeous and there is plenty of space. We’d love to be back in summer to enjoy the lake!

Our favorite way to ring in the new year

I can't even say how many times we have stayed at the Gresham Lodge to celebrate the New Year with three families. Those young teens are now all college-age and they love the space for playing games, watching movies and sleeping. We parents love the kitchen as we enjoy making big meals for everyone. When the snow cooperates, we are close to the snowmobile trails and have a lot of fun. This place has come to feel like home! Our hosts are so helpful and friendly too.

Great stay!

Awesome location, wonderful property! Not possible to have a bad stay here. Kitchen is great as well. Host communication was excellent. Only issues were that the boat was not very clean and there were lots of (mostly dead) flies in the house. Overall great!

Beautiful House

We had a wonderful stay at the Gresham Retreat. There were a few minor hiccups that the owner quickly rectified. He was so quick to respond and kind. We would happily stay here again. You won't be disappointed with the privacy and fantastic views!

Simply amazing!

The property exceeded our expectations! The kitchen is laid out great for a big group and had the things we needed to cook daily. The lily pad was a HUGE hit with the kids. We used it daily. Having a boat to rent was also great. Kids fished from the dock and were pulling them in left and right which was helpful for kids learning. The lake is quiet and peaceful. Sunsets are priceless and eagles were flying around throughout the days. Having access to the kayaks was also nice. The only downside, which wasnt really an issue, was the AC didn’t seem to cool down the main floor bedrooms. But having fans there helped. We wanted to book again but the property was already taken for the week we needed. But definitely on the short list for the future.

Our family has enjoyed many years of vacationing at Gresham Retreat. It is one of the few properties that meet our wants list of privacy, small lake with no speedboats, river access to other lakes via canoe/kayak, fire pit by the lake, nice accommodations and peaceful! The daily sightings of Bald Eagles/Loons is a huge plus and the fishing from the pier is always good as well.

Pristine home on the lake

Our family had the most wonderful vacation at this property. The home feels brand-new - it's spotless, beautiful, and thoughtfully organized for guests (labels on everything, clear instructions, lots of special touches). We loved the well-stocked kitchen, canoes/kayaks, beach, pool table, and the location can't be beat. The owner went above and beyond in everything, and the communication from start to finish was fantastic. Bring bug spray, the mosquitos are intense in the Northwoods!

Wonderful Family Vacation!

This is a lovely property with a beautiful vacation home. My family and grandchildren enjoyed swimming with the Lilly pad. My 2 year old grandson played for hours on the sandy beach area. Everyone couldn’t believe the great fishing off the pier. The Canoes and kayaks and paddle boat kept everyone entertained! When it rained we were entertained with the pool table and foosball table in the lower level. Thank you for a great vacation!

Top of the Line

Information was accurate, complete and enough. The location is great. Parking is great. The home is great. All the extra's were great. Just a complete place to stay if you are visiting the Lake. After 3 or 4 days there was not one thing that I felt the house lacked. There were also simple directions around the house to help our stay. I never had to contact the host because he has this down to a T. In return we took good care of his house and left it looking well.

Amazing place!
