Perfect for family!

Great location, nice quiet lake, enjoyed our week very much, brought our 90 year old Mother and loved watching her family have a great time!

Awesome location with everything you could need within 5 minutes. House was very well stocked. We spent time on the lake and fishing off the dock was good. Weather was perfect during the entire visit. We will be returning next year.

Peaceful

Out of the way and peaceful, but still close to town, restaurants and shops. The property was beautiful, right on the lake, with a nice dock to sit and watch the sunrise.

Winter Break for family of 6

We had a great time enjoying northern WI over a long weekend between Christmas and New Years. The layout of cabin is great, lots of space to be together and apart if needed. 2 college kids and 2 grade school kids can be a challenge to keep everyone content and enjoy their time as much as possible. Kitchen is impressively well stocked, there were also plenty of extra linens. My eldest daughter ended up burning her Australia friend before he returned home after a semester abroad in Madison. He was able to experience a blizzard for the first time in his 22 years and had a magical experience. Would love to return in the summer!

Woodruff woods

It was a great house with plenty of room. The kitchen had everything you could think of for a kitchen.The incline to the lake was a little steep for people in there 70's but we did just find after the first day.Fishing was good and the wildlife was fun to watch.The neighborhood was very quiet and I loved listening to the wind blowing through the trees.

Great escape in the North Woods

Great experience from the picturesque drive in to the waterfront view as soon as you arrive. Sam and Louise thought of everything when then arranged this home. Not a single recommendation for the owners, great job we enjoyed our spring break!

Fall Getaway

Well stocked kitchen. Very clean and loved the location. Originally scheduled for October but had to reschedule due to a health issue. Weather was inclement so we enjoyed the fireplace and multitude of games. Will definitely be back.

Cozy Family Northern Getaway

We loved everything about our stay! The place was big enough for my spouse, 2 kids, and my spouse’s two adult siblings. It was a perfect location to town but tucked away on a quiet little lake. We loved kayaking or using the row boat; a pair of loons were out everyday and the lake was perfect for fishing with my kids. The place had everything for lake life… kayaks, paddle board, row boat, life vests, nets, lanterns, fire pit, firewood, marshmallow roasting tools, bikes, grill, puzzles, games… I could go on and on! It was a perfect place to introduce my family to the northern experience

Comfortable and Close to Activities

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable home within minutes of Minocqua. The home had everything we needed and also had a nice fire pit/seating area by the lake. The deck on the home was great and even had a closeable gate. We loved this so the dogs could be on the deck with us and off leash. Brilliant must have when you have a dog who started his life as a stray. The home is in a great location to explore Vilas County, which has much to offer. It’s an easy drive to places like Boulder Junction, Manitiwish Waters, Mercer (where you can see the world’s largest talking loon), Lac Du Flambeau, Cranberry country, etc. We also really appreciated that the owners provided the Spectrum TV app, which we used in the evenings and that technology allowed us to broadcast from our phone to the tv.

Charming, well-supplied, and kid-friendly!

I loved the charming Northwoods decor throughout this cottage, especially the beautiful rugs and elaborate lamps in every corner! We were amazed at how well-supplied it was with EVERYTHING we needed, compared to other rentals, including a pancake griddle, blender, mixer, nice cookware and flatware, plenty of serving ware, and especially plastic cups and plates for our two grandchildren who joined us! There were pleasant kid-friendly surprises everywhere, including a cupboard of toys & games, lots of children's books, sand toys, and children's life jackets that made our stay so easy! A basket of snacks, kind notes and clear instructions were very welcoming, and the entire cottage was immaculate! We enjoyed the using the canoe and kayaks on Brandy Lake, and my grandson caught his first fish! The wooded setting and lake view from the back windows were gorgeous! Loved this place!!

Beautiful Spacious Remote Cabin

This cabin is amazing. It was beautiful, well kept, in a wonderful location, tons of space. My fiancé and I (and our dog) spent a weekend here in the spring, and actually got engaged on this trip. It was also very well stocked, from kitchen supplies to bikes to grills to blankets. And comfy!! The owners were responsive via text and friendly. There are so many lakes and hiking trails and things to do in the area. We were a little early for the season, but lucked out and hit opening weekend at the Wildwood Wildlife Park in Minocqua, which was awesome! All of the bars and restaurants we went to in the area were also really great across the board, from Slo’s Pub to The Boathouse. We were pretty rained in for a lot of the weekend due to bad luck, and we could not have asked for a better environment. The only reason we’re giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that after making this booking, we were also emailed with a booking confirmation through Evolve, another platform. Evolve has its own terms, conditions, cancellation policies, etc. that in some cases contradict what’s listed on VRBO. We had no issues or complications on our trip, so it didn’t end up being an issue.
