"This is a charming bed and breakfast. Anmenities are high end, so is the service. We stayed in a room circa 1752. The bedding however was more recent and very luxurious.
The grounds are impeccable, with flowers and trimmed hedges everywhere. There are fields and even a little nature trail in the woods on the property.
Its ideally located in Virginia wine country and in proximity to the homes of three past presidents, all of which you can visit.

"THIS is a guilty pleasure. Love the location and isolation of this property. They have a couple dining options and great room service.
Most importantly, they’re pet friendly and my “boys”, Louie and Logan are treated like rock stars.

"Beautifully renovated historic home that welcomes you from the moment you drive in. The property is vast and the immediate grounds are very well maintained with many activities to interest all-pool, hiking trails, and croquet. The public spaces androoms are well put together while maintaining their historic integrity. Grab a crab cocktail at the in-house bar and have dinner in any of the well appointed dining spaces. A great place to stay before/after a visit to Monticello."
"We stayed 2 nights this past week. It is very quiet. Rooms were spacious. Surroundings were quiet. They have a “restaurant “ area which is open for breakfast and dinner. Both you have to pay for. Very nice place. Would stay again. "
"Relatively new and was clean and comfortable. Did not like the a/c in the closet of the bedroom as it made noise when running. Light switch for the light around the mirror was troublesome as it seemed to be shorting out. Bathroom door (slider) would not stay in any position other than closed. The latch was not working very well."
