"Room was dirty, scuffed paintwork, stained carpet, skirting boards thick with grime and dust, cobwebs and dead bugs (in the cobwebs) on the ceiling. Not to mention the previous guests dirty towels and sheets were left in a heap in the middle of the floor. At £200 per night excluding breakfast I expect much much better. Very disappointing."

"We had a lovely quiet bedroom at the end of a corridor. The only thing we could hear were sheep! Comfortable bed, powerful shower and clean room. Didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on that. Pleasant atmosphere, good location and friendly staff. Would stay again when in this area."

"The hotel is not in Oxford, is actually 30 minutes drive from the actual city and just a few rooms have air conditioning. If you plan to come during summer, the rooms are quite hot."

"The bathroom was good, the bed was comfortable but the room was a bit dated and despite a Dyson Cool fan the room was dreadfully hot and there was no ventilation in the bathroom."

"Comfortable stay. Nice room n0 260 everything was clean complimentary fridge items were a nice bonus. Staff were pleasant. Shopping area not too far away. Just thought there was only a swimming pool on site but to my amazement they had a jacuzzi steam and sauna too. Didn't see any mention of this when booking online but it was a great surprise which we made the most of on our 2 night stay. Travelled from there to Milton Keynes for Reggae Land."

"Room was really clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. It made such lovely change to have a cooked breakfast brought to you instead of luke warm self service. Bar prices very reasonable. Restaurant food was great and reasonable prices."

"This B&B was exceptional. The attention to detail was out of this world. It felt almost like staying in a top class hotel. Everything was laid on and Helen was superb in anticipating everthing I needed. And the breakfast - well - no words to describe how great it was. Again the attention to the smallest detail was fantastic. Will certainly stay here again if I'm in the area. Well Done!"

"The room was lovely apart from the heat as we stayed during a UK heatwave. A fan was provided luckily especially as our room was up in the eaves. It would have been nice to have had a tv but I guess they want you to spend time (and money) in the pub not in your room. The kitchen area would have also benefitted from a small fridge so the milk and water (replenished daily) could have been kept cold. We were on room only basis, however, we did eat breakfast in the pub on our first morning. The food...

"Stayed one night for an event at Silverstone. Excellent location for proximity to the circuit. Nice pub with good food. Room was nice with good tea and coffee making facilities. Would stay here again."
