"Outstanding. Everything and all staff and waters all are outstanding. No words can describe my satisfaction. Probably the best sleep i got since a very long time in an organic heritage hotel very quiet and warm town. All TV and coffee bar are modern and clean and convenient. I really liked the biscuits made by the chief in the room with a cup of coffee ar 6:00 am overlooking a peaceful and historic 1600s downtown. The breakfast and English muffins mushrooms and eggs are fresh and made with...

"Great place to stay, room was a nice size & clean, staff were very friendly had a kettle, coffee machine... we enjoyed our stay.... thanks cherry tree 🌳"

"Very enjoyable stay. Excellent staff led by John the general manager, whose welcome is friendly and genuine. Top marks. Room comfortable if slightly very cramped . Excellent breakfast that used fine local ingredients. Dinner was good too, but a few of the dishes just need a little more finesse to make the Michelin guide. Overall, strongly recommended thanks to John and his team."

"Room was ok, clean, but lacked wardrobe space. Bizarrely we were in an accessible room which we didn't ask for so the bathroom was as you would expect in a care home. Breakfast was fine but nothing to write home about. Bacon was good, thick cut and tasty. Fried egg was overcooked for my liking as was the sausage. Nice croissant, and good options on cereals. Tea was self service and sadly from a heated urn and any tea lover will know we need boiling water for a decent cuppa!"

"Great hotel and restaurant"

"Very clean room but the shower could be improved. It is set into the wall so taller visitors have to bend down to wet their hair. The water was hot so no problems with actually taking a shower once hair was wet. Excellent food and choice of drinks. Staff were friendly and keen to ensure we were served quickly without fuss."

"We had a comfortable overnight stay (very comfortable bed!). Having been to a wedding reception that day, we didn’t want much to eat, but found just what we wanted, even though the menu is not extensive. The food was good and the fish and chips are obviously a popular choice, and looked delicious. Breakfast was good. Staff very helpful and friendly."
