Wonderful stay with plenty of room for our whole family (plenty of beds, bedding, and dining seating etc) Kitchen equipped with everything you need to feed and serve large groups. The cabin is well themed and decorated. Check-in and check out were convenient.

Family Winter Getaway

This was the perfect cabin for a quick family getaway in the Catskills. Peter was very responsive to any questions before, during, and after our trip making checkin and checkout a breeze. The cabin was equipped with anything we could possibly need, from massive coffee makers, flashlights, plenty of seasoned wood for the beautiful fireplace to first aid kits and I even saw an EpiPen in the fridge!! The large dinning room table is where we spent time every night playing games. I enjoyed my coffee out on the porch with our dog every morning just taking in the serenity. There is a perfect hill on property for the kids to do some sledding and a huge fire pit to roast marshmallows at night. I was impressed by the tap water quality. Many places we have stayed at had very slimy rotten egg smelling water that you really don’t even want to wash your hands in let alone shower in but we didn’t have that issue here. Plus we never ran out of hot water when we all showered around the same time which can also happen at other upstate cabins. This was the perfect cabin for a 3 generation family getaway with something to do for everyone. There were lots of memories made. Thank you Peter, for sharing your lovely cabin with our family.

New years getaway

We were a group of 3 families , adults and kids age range 2-12yr olds for a long. New Year’s Eve getaway. Peter was very responsive the entire stay for any questions we had. The place was just as listed and very clean upon arrival. We had enough room and beds for everyone to sleep comfortably. We used the fireplace nightly and the kids enjoyed running around outside when it wasn’t raining. The kids loved having their own bunk bed room away from the adults. The cabin was about 20 mins from grocery stores and other activities. We took the kids to a trampoline park to get out of the house . We were going to go snow tubing but it rained. All said and done we loved just hanging inside the cabin cooking , drinking and playing games by the fire place. We had a very nice stay and would definately return.

Mini retreat with kids

We choose this property for a small retreat we hosted for our moms and kids. It was such a perfect space. The kids loved all the bunk beds and the freedom to run around outside. We loved the kitchen (it was well stocked with pans, pots, cooking utensils etc) and the open plan living room and dining area - perfect for making meals and eating together. I loved how unique the cabin was it was a really special weekend for us. We made s’mores by the camp fire and took a nature walk along the trail. It was so private and also very spacious. We definitely want to come back :)

Great Bachelor Party Cabin

Our group of guys loved the cabin. It was spacious and convenient for 12 guys. The cabin was filled with amenities including thermostats in each room, towels, cookware, hot water, and cleaning/hygiene products. Peter and his family responded quickly to all of our messages and requests. This area is quiet and peaceful. The location is about 20-30 minutes from nearby restaurants, trails, and stores.

Great retreat space

We comfortably fit all 13 of us. The summer camp feel was fun and the large open main room was perfect for our meditation space. Great comfortable property and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Great value, full kitchen and all the amenities to get away with!

Best. Weekend. Ever.

We hosted my sister in laws bachelorette weekend at Peter’s Cabin. We went to Lake Superior State Park, and the Monticello Casino nearby. It was the perfect getaway with plenty of room and amenities. Peter was available at all times for anything we needed. The house is even more beautiful in person. 10/10 would recommend, especially for large groups!

Hosted our wedding here!

Peter’s place was absolutely wonderful, it’s very woodsy and rustic. There were plenty of beds and had a large kitchen that allowed us to cook for our entire family! The living area was great for the kiddos and their toys and games. The dining room was very spacious and elegant for the adults with fun card games. The back blacktop was perfect to hold a tent with a bunch of tables and chairs for our reception. We handbuilt an arch that we assembled on the property towards the front/side of the house for the ceremony, there was a perfect path going down the stairs for the ceremony. Feel free to ask the host Peter for my contact information for pictures if you decide to plan a big event there. I would love to give you pointers!! Thank you again Peter for all that you did to accommodate us. The thorough communication was impeccable and I couldn’t have asked for a more kind host for our special day. Definitely staying here next year for our anniversary!! …did I mention the giant fire pit and all the cool rustic features around the house? So cool…

Great log cabin in the woods

Was very clean, host was responsive and helpful. We had an issue with the gas and someone came to fix it within 2 hours. It snowed during our stay and the snow was plowed by someone twice. Could only find 2 bathrooms. Not a problem for our group, just informing. Overall, amazing stay and would recommend

Great stay near SUNY Sullivan

We had 6 wrestlers and 6 parents stayed at the cabin before a big wrestling tournament at SUNY Sullivan. This was the perfect place for our stay for us. Two comfortable bedrooms on the main floor, a great loft with two beds and two rooms downstairs with bunk beds for the athletes. Decorations and antiques are amazing. The fireplace is great and really warms the main room to the house. Peter was available for questions and accessible. Roosters are there to make sure you know you are in the country. Great place to stay and close to major roads.

Great family Christmas vacation

This was a perfect home for our group of ten adults, five children, and a dog! Comfortable sleeping arrangements, plenty of kitchen supplies for making big meals, and cozy seating and room around the fireplace! It's the cabin you've been looking for

Perfect spot for a neighborless getaway in the woods, very private and well equipped. The fire pit is awesome. Fast WiFi. The host Peter is a great guy and super responsive to texts if you need to reach out for anything. The rooster came and hung out with us on the porch late at night while we played games with red cups, which was awesome. Also since no other reviews mentioned it- the range is about 50 yards if you use the whole length. Five stars in all categories, will be renting again !

Amazing Catskill Home

First, I would just like to say that the host, Peter, was the most accommodating host that I have ever dealt with. I believe this is the first time that I have booked through VRBO but I have used similar rental apps many times and let me tell you, this was the best property/host experience that I’ve ever had. He helped us understand the layout of the house and the property before we even booked so we could make sure that the house could accommodate the amount of people that we needed it to and so we could make sure that it fit our style of vacation stays. We had to host almost 20 guests at this property for our wedding and I can say that everyone had something good to say about it wether it was about the rustic cabin feel, the wrap around deck overlooking the apple orchard, the beautiful fire pit with Adirondack chairs, or just the beautiful scenery of the surrounding areas. If you’re looking for a beautiful rustic cabin (with modern amenities) to stay at in the Catskills that has the ability to accommodate small and large groups of people, that is just far enough away from the busy life to be immersed in the beauty of nature but not too far away where you feel “out there”, and that has a host that is willing to make your special day, weekend, or week even more special then make sure you book your stay here. Thank you Peter for being a great host. We will definitely book a stay with you again at some point and will recommend it to anyone we know or meet.

Perfect for a woodland birthday party

I hosted about 20 of my good friends for a birthday celebration in the woods, with a mixture of outdoor activities, music and dancing, dinner and cake, the works. Peter was helpful and communicative throughout, letting me know that the kitchen was well-stocked for large groups and accommodating our request for both early check-in and late check-out. We left notes on a couple of neighbours' doors, inviting them to join the festivities and one of them actually did! Nice to feel like we were in such a friendly community. The house had everything we needed, enough beds for everyone, truly a perfect setting. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice cabin. Everyone enjoyed spacious deck where all could gather and spacious living and dining areas. Enjoyed campfire area with ample chairs. The only thing Would suggest is that the property manager provide a map of location of walking trails on the property and where the bikes are located

Fantastic Place for a Catskills Bachelor Party!

Great place for my brother’s bachelor party! Peter was a great host who communicated with me consistently and was always willing to help. Lots of space, quiet surroundings, and cozy accommodations. Five stars!
