Would not recommend this property to anyone, absolutely awful especially at $207 per night. This property should not be advertised by any booking site……

Noisy water pipes banging, everything is old, tv so small and set up hi so can’t really watch it I got dinner to eat in the room no cutlery no microwave nothing in the room It looks like they painted over the mould instead of cleaning

The staff was simply the best. Advise anyone going on a cruise at Sydney coming from SE Australia to book into your motel and go by train to Sydney while leaving the car at the motel.

I have stayed here a few times over the years. An older place, but close to everything, reasonably priced and the Thai food from the restaurant is really nice.

Worst place that I have ever stayed ever. Booked through wotif for 2 nights some how, it went through as 1 night,booked deluxe (?) queen given 1 room with a double and a single bed and had to pay extra for the second night. $123.00 wotif and an extra $170 for a room with peeling paint a drive way and parking area breaking up for $170 pe night would expect a better room

It was a pleasant staying. I would stay there again. Although, I wish that there was a microwave in the guest room.

Property is from the 70s and needs major upgrades especially for the price to stay there. No coffee supplied on my second night. Television only had 3 channels, water hammer in the next door room every time they turned on the water, toilet was leaking,I could go on.For not much extra I could have stayed at a far better motel.

Unit was clean, bed was comfortable, a little outdated but we didn’t go to Wollongong for the room. Close to everything that we needed to do and see.

It was mean. No hair dryer, no iron, no ironing board, no crockery or cutlery, no toaster, no microwave, no breakfast makings even though there was nowhere nearby for breakfast, tiny, tiny TV, no cupboards, no rack for a suitcase, thin towels, dim lights. Most of this could have been fixed by investing one nights tariff.

Hi Warren,A simple call to reception could have solved all your problems. Hair dryers available at reception. Iron and ironing board always available at the laundry area (next to the washing machine and dryer). Crockery, cutlery toasters and microwaves in modern large central kitchen (opposite the laundry area). Really sorry that you never contacted us to assist you.

Old and outdated
The place is very old, very outdated and not maintained. Room was clean but out of a bygone era.

The room’s outdated but it’s tidy. Bath towels & bedsheets were all in prefect condition. Just one thing, the bath basin was too small, wasn’t easy to use for daily cleaning- brush teeth & wash face.

If you are travelling without a car, Flinders Motel is close to North Wollongong station, an easy walk to Wollongong shops, and has a good Thai restaurant on site
