Even Better than Advertised
Such an incredible stay - the pictures don’t do this cabin justice. It’s so comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. We had a great time and actually got engaged there this past weekend!

Sweet fall serenity

Relaxing Getaway
My husband and I hadn’t taken a trip alone in a couple of years, so we were ready for a peaceful respite. Chimney Mill Cabin was in a remote area and perfect for a long weekend getaway. It was very clean and comfortable with lots of space. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and the bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels. We really enjoyed exploring outdoors and hiking to King River Falls. The view and the waterfall were so beautiful. We drove to Huntsville a couple of times, which is about 30 minutes away, to dine out and fill up with gas. Granny’s Kitchen has the best Southwest omelet I have ever tasted. Our favorite place to be during our visit was relaxing on the porch having coffee while watching the deer grazing and the red squirrels scurrying about in the yard. The only complaint we have is that we didn’t book it for a longer stay. We definitely want to return in the Spring. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Peaceful and Secluded Getaway without Sacrificing Comfort
This place is my favorite to unwind and relax from the stresses of life. You can just feel the stress leave as you sit on the porch with a cup of coffee and listen to the sounds of the water. The wildlife love to put on a show as well!

This property is Amazing!! Beautiful, super clean, and the owners have thought of every little thing u might need for your stay. The Kings River Falls is an easy hike/trail, the falls and pool below are gorgeous!! Can’t wait to go back for another cousins reunion

Perfect peace and quiet
Although we were staying there to be near family in the area... this property all by itself a perfect remote getaway in the mountains. We only wish there were some kind of basic Internet/wifi because there is no cell service up there. Some could see lack of connection access a plus though. A landline phone is provided which does solve some of this.

Peaceful getaway
We had a wonderful 3rd stay at this beautiful property. Hiking down the river with the cooler weather was very enjoyable. And spotting the local animal life from the beautiful porch with no interruptions from work/email was just what we needed. Already planning for our next adventure here. Everything was perfect, the cabin gorgeous with everything we needed and the property very well kept. Thank you for checking on us and being available if we should need anything, but especially sharing your amazing cabin with us.

Great Cabin
Absolutely lovely cabin and location with a rich history and obviously lots of love put into it. Very gracious hosts. Very nice amenities. Nice hiking trail with a waterfall that can be reached walking from the cabin. Can easily see the stars at night. Great getaway from civilization. Highly recommended!!

Five Stars Isn’t Enough!
This property is immaculate, well-stocked, spacious, comfortable, well-situated…we hated to leave! The setting is peaceful and the outdoor spaces at Chimney Mill Cabin provide many ways to enjoy nature. We hope we have a chance to come back!

Beautiful!
We could not have been happier with our stay! The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and have everything we could have thought about needing and the location was perfect! We were an hour from just about everywhere we wanted to go. It was just what we needed to relax and unwind. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. Mrs. Joan had so many detailed, easy to follow directions to things we could see and do around the cabin. It was perfect! We could not have asked for anything any better. We definitely look forward to staying again in the future!

Both the cabin and location are absolutely phenomenal!
When Joan says she has a fully stocked kitchen she means it!! We did not lack one thing for our family of 8 during our seven night stay! When we got home EVERYONE commented how rested and relaxed we looked and sounded. We have tried to express to others all of the beauty and majestic views but it’s almost impossible. There aren’t words to describe the running brooke just outside the cabin and the beautiful hike to the waterfalls and the peacefulness of the solitude. The cabin was absolutely perfect! The wrap around porch was incredible!! We’re absolutely planning our next trip here. We left feeling more relaxed and refreshed and renewed than we’ve been in years. We’re SO VERY GRATEFUL Joan and Jerry have opened this cabin for us to stay!! Thank you!!!

Peaceful place
This is a beautiful place to stay and enjoy the peace of nature while you’re there. The house is very comfortable and the porches are the perfect place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Great home base for getting out and exploring many hiking options that are in the area. Highly recommend if you want to get away from all the daily distractions and enjoy some peaceful time with friends or family.

Cabin in the woods
We had a wonderful time enjoying the cabin. Note that the upstairs 3rd bedroom is a loft without a door and the bottom two bedrooms have a Jack/Jill bathroom. The house had everything supplied we could possibly need and kids loved the creek right outside. Cabin was close to all the UTV trails we wanted to do and we will be back once the weather warms up.

Such a great place to enjoy the quiet space from a busy life. The babbling brook and open fields of nature surround a screened in porch retreat. Take a easy home along the King's River Trail to see God's handiwork.

Peaceful cabin
Chimney Mill Cabin is the prefect place to get away from it all. There are hiking trails located nearby if you want some adventure, but if staying in and resting and relaxing is more your style, this cabin is perfect for you. This is our second time staying here and the owners go above and beyond to make sure everything is clean and well stocked. Thanks for a great few days!

Great place to spend connecting with friends. Close to hiking and the sound of the river was just peaceful. Bedding and furnishings were 5 star. Outdoor living area was even better than the pics!

We loved the area and the house!!
The property is just beautiful! The mornings were awesome to watch the fog lay in the pastures and roll over the trees and then to see the sun come up. We were loving the furnishings in the house and the setup was great for a group of friends to be able to hang out with each other. The host was great with information and easy to get with. Looking forward to renting the house again.

Long birthday weekend
This was our 2nd stay and we are definitely making this an annual destination. God blessed us with a nice thunderstorm, beautiful rainbow and a gorgeous view if the falls the next morning with a strong flow of water. We absolutely love everything about this cabin. Quiet and relaxing week!
This spacious and comfortable cabin was perfect in every way! It had everything we needed plus more. The location was quiet and close to the King’s River. 2022 Morgan Family Vacation
The whole Morgan family (ages 5-75) thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Chimney Mill! The hardest part was being totally off the grid, but it became one of the best parts by the end of our stay. Next time we will pack lighter, because when the host says that the Cabin is fully equipped for your needs, she means it. Whether we wanted to just relax or be set in the middle of outdoor adventure, this was the perfect spot for our entire family. Beautiful cabin, gorgeous location, perfect vacation! Thank you so much!

Charming cabin
The property had everything you could want for a getaway, River, hiking and a beautiful comfortable cabin. It was a time to unplug from the internet and enjoy the quiet time of life again. Be prepared for the gravel road! Could have used a few pots and pans. But the owner was so helpful with whatever we needed. We would definitely do it again.

Quiet Girls Weekend
Wow! This cabin is perfect and amazing! Absolutely everything you need is on hand. The decor is lovely. The best part is the quiet and peacefulness. We needed time for friends of 30 years to spend some downtime together, this cabin was perfect. The trail to the falls is right at the end of the property, gorgeous walk! Highly recommend and would absolutely come back. Thank you Joan, it was everything we had hoped for and more!

Fanstastic getaway
Joan did an amazing job of giving detailed driving directions, as well as check in and gate code directions. The property was amazing and a great location! We loved exploring the creeks and swimming holes, as well as the Kings River Falls! The cabin was extremely spacious, very clean and was the best stocked kitchen of any cabin I have ever stayed in! The screened in porch and fire pit were the highlight for the men! We loved celebrating a birthday here and would love to come back!
