We were disappointed with our stay overall.
When we arrived, there were a few immediate concerns — including blood on the lamps in the bedroom, which was very unsettling and raised cleanliness concerns right away.
Our receipt also listed “waterpark add-ons,” however we were told we could not access any of the Chula Vista Resort Waterparks waterparks, which was confusing and frustrating since it was included on the booking details. Guest services through Chula Vista and through VBRO were not helpful either. We ended up spending another $1,000 for all of us to go to the Kalahari for waterparks.
There also appeared to be no on-site staff available during our stay. There was no one present to check us in, answer questions, or assist with basic needs like towels, toilet paper, or garbage bags.
At checkout on Sunday, while we were packing up, room service knocked on the door. We explained that we would be leaving shortly, but when we exited the room they were still standing outside waiting for us to leave, which felt uncomfortable and rushed.
Overall, the stay did not meet expectations due to cleanliness issues, unclear amenities, and lack of guest support.
