Cute cottage in a beautiful setting. Really enjoyed walking the grounds past the rows of sweet-smelling lavender. Then relaxing with a view of the Sheepscot River. Very restful.

Lovely and serene property, exquisitely maintained grounds. Cottage was just perfect for our needs. John was very communicative and responded quickly to questions. We were able to bring our dog along, who also loved the property! Not too far from Boothbay Harbor and other area attractions. Highly recommend!!

The photos and description of this adorable cottage and beautiful property did not disappoint. John was a wonderful host as well. My family and I had a wonderful week exploring Mid-Coast Maine from Round Pond to Damariscotta to Boothbay Harbor and Monhegan Island. We were very sad to leave and hope to be back.

We had a wonderful relaxing time on this beautiful property. It was quite, clean and provide so much space to spread out. Its proximity to town was convenient and accessibility off the main road made it easy to find. I would absolutely recommend if you’re traveling around Maine, to stay here as your home base.

Delightful property in center of Mid-Coast Maine

This property is a gem and even prettier than the listing pictures. The house is part of a larger property with a wedding venue so this is used (I would assume) by the wedding party/guests.The landscaping - flowers, shrubs, et al - are beautifully maintained. You may want to inquire as to when the venue is going to open/be used as we did have some gardeners there early to clean up the grounds and plant flowers which didn't bother us.Very attentive host and great location. Bring your own shower supplies - soap/shampoo - a that is not provided.

This lovely cottage and grounds are breathtaking! We explored Wiscasset and Monhegan Island by day..and enjoyed stargazing by the fire pit at night. We had a wonderful time

Wonderful place

This was one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed at. The cottage is absolutely charming. Our kid loved having the privacy of the airstream. The views are stunning. It’s convenient not just to Wiscasset but the whole mid-coast region. John, the host, is great and very responsive. Overall, an excellent experience.

Property was beautiful and quiet but extra fees were very outrageously high! Be careful!!

We had a nice quiet stay with out family of 5. 2 adults and 3 kids. 2, 2yo twins and a 4yo. and our 6mo Australian Shepard puppy. The property was great for dogs. It had a nearly completely fenced in yard and the whole property was dog friendly. She was able to roam around freely and couldn't really get into trouble!! The house was cute and clean and accommodated us all with an additional queen air mattress set up in the living room. It was kind of a waste that we didn't use the airstream but could have if our kids were older of if we brought a grandparent. Close proximity to the botanical gardens and many kid friendly beaches. we had a great stay. the added fees were very high and were not advertised in the initial cost of the listing. The price doubled once the fees were added right before check out. I would just say to be aware of that when budgeting!

Loved property but not VRBO!

Hidden charges (host fee) and service fee) were astronomical!!! Was not clear in initial advertising. That is on VRBO , not owner... We loved property and care. We'd go back again!

Week Away

My husband and I had a fabulous week away at this English cottage. The cottage is surrounded by stunning gardens that stretch to the water. The private area is pristine. Location was perfect. While your on the property you don’t see anyone, but it’s close enough to town to walk. We walked into town each night to enjoy local seafood dinners. We’d definitely come back again.

Amazing and beautiful stay!

The property was absolutely beautiful and the host was very responsive and friendly! The cabin is in great shape and is so charming! The property is stunning, spacious, and private for morning walks with our dog, while still being walking distance from the best lobster rolls in Maine. We couldn't have asked for more, it made for a wonderful vacation.

Beautiful property

The pictures don’t do justice. The property is absolutely beautiful.. It is evident the care attention given to the property. We were greeted with about a dozen turkeys as we entered. The first morning we were drinking coffee and a doe with two babies strolled through the flowers. The last night we were there, the temperature got into the forties. We built a fire in one the Solo Stoves. The cottage is cozy. It was clean and well maintained. We had a great few days. I can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful location in Wiscasset

The cottage on MarianMaid lavender farm is beautiful, quaint and well kept. We really appreciated that pets were allowed and our dog loved being able to roam freely in the fenced yard around the cottage. Highly recommend this as a great escape location.
