Two steps lead from the parking spot into the front entrance of the cottage. Once inside, you’ll find a welcoming lounge/diner and a dining table set for four guests. After a day of sightseeing in the local area, relax in front of the roaring open fire with a glass of wine and a good book. Plush seating and an inviting colour palette make for a warm and inviting space. There’s a separate well-appointed contemporary kitchen and a ground-floor family bathroom. Upstairs, to the front of the cottage, you’ll find a spacious super-king-size bedroom with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage, plus an inviting en-suite with WC. The charming twin bedroom boasts breathtaking views of the countryside. There’s a lovely conservatory where you can sit and while away the time or when the weather permits, enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the pretty enclosed cottage garden. The property offers private parking for one car plus an additional communal green with a picnic bench.
Nature enthusiasts who love the great outdoors will want to visit WWT Welney Wetland Centre, just 2 miles away: a haven for birdwatching and enjoying the great outdoors. Pisces Country Park, just 1 mile away, hosts pike fishing in the fishing lakes. Or escape to the City of Ely, 10 miles away. Visit Ely Cathedral, known as the ‘Ship of the Fens’, or stock up on crafts and locally sourced produce at Ely market, home to a variety of markets throughout the week. Let the kids burn off excess energy at Go Ape in Thetford Forest, 22 miles away.
