"We stayed at Hinton Lodge whilst visiting family and it made the perfect base. Everything was comfortable, clean and as described. Due to a last minute family emergency Clea was incredibly accommodating to some late minute changes, which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend a stay if visiting the area."

I would recommend parking in the medium stay car by the car park which is free after 4pm and then at 8.30 am you can pay 5.90 for whole day and then free again after 4 and on Sundays. "We have really enjoyed our previous two visits to the Shepherds Retreat and our third visit was equally spectacular. We arrived during a storm but the accommodation was cozy and we didn’t feel exposed to the elements. I say we were lucky, because we had a beautiful walk on the beach and a couple of excellent walks in the New Forest and the weather was perfect for all of our activities.
