This condo is perfect clean and nice. The location is excellent, it’s an easy walk to the gondola and to restaurants. Parking Garage on property was also very nice.

The host, Bryan, was wonderful and very welcoming!Communication was prompt and very helpful. He is very knowledgeable about the area and shared information and tips on restaurants, pubs etc.The condo was perfect! Extremely comfortable, quiet and was a great location! I enjoyed looking out at the slopes and walking to everything.The hot tub area and the fire pits were really great as well.

Great time

We had a wonderful time in Winter Park - the location was awesome and perfect for skiing!The cozy atmosphere of the apartment was wonderful and perfect for a weekend away. Only downside was the hot tub was closed for maintenance the first two nights we were there We wish we knew this going in as we were looking forward to jumping in after long days of skiing!

Nice condo, hottub not working.

We had a good time at the Founder's condo. Our only complaint was that the hottub was not working (closed for renovation). The rental company Sky Run called us and told us that there will be no hottub access during our stay. They were not apologetic at all, and they claimed that hottub was not listed on the VRBO description (which of course we could not go back and check). We have stayed in the Founder's condo many many times, and it should have been explicitly stated that the hottub will not be open during our stay. We would have picked a different complex at Winter Park. Also, one humidifier was nasty and the other one was broken. I would probably not rent with the Sky Run property management again.

Business trip

Over all it was a great place. There were a couple of issues like the internet would not be consistent and would cut out while i was trying to do work after i returned to the room, and the other thing is the little refrigerator would barely keep my food cold and the freezer slot took a very long time to freeze anything. But other than that it was a great little room.

Great Location and comfortable accommodations

An easy walk over to the Gondola and dining, comfortable bed, large bathroom with nice long tub, kitchenette, gas fireplace, lower floor condo with balcony and a couple of chairs. It was always on the warm side in the condo so we had to sleep with a window cracked open, which isn't a big deal. Otherwise, very comfortable. The condo unit itself was well taken care of, but the building in general needs some attention...especially the hot tub. The floor is chipped and tired and many of the jets are not working, BUT the size of the hot tub is more like a pool and it was a good temperature. It faces the mountain and part of the base village and was a nice place to go after skiing. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again.

Great walkable location with little kids

We were able to enjoy everything the mountain offered with a walkable location. The home is well stocked and cozy. Our family enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the ski day.

Small, well-kept condo

On the backside of the property. Bathroom is large & lovely!! Kitchen has tiny refrig and freeze is in desperate need of defrosting. Bedroom is very small for a very hard king bed and base/frame that will knock your shins, as you try to walk around it. Ouch! Walls and ceilings are not well insulated, and we had noisy neighbors. Door to small balcony was not locked when we checked in. It is a deadbolt with French door handles and would not lock, necessitating an hour+ work by maintenance to replace it. The gentleman, Byrne, who did the repair work was professional. Also, there was an unlocked window when we arrived. Check in was a disaster, as no one was at the gate, as we had been told by VRBO. We had to check in online to get our parking bar code. Vrbo gave the wrong information. We were helped at the large hotel across the road, which is Winter Park Resort and can handle reservations for all the properties. Vrbo needs to update it's information!! We have stayed before on the pool side of this building, and recommend this over the backside. This condo may be on the 3rd floor, but the building backs to a hill. By the time you walk all the way around to this condo, you're basically on the ground floor.

Absolutely perfect!

This was such a quant and cozy place to stay! The ease and accessibility to the slopes, shops, and town was phenomenal! We fell in love with the bathtub, which is extra-long for taller folks. The hot tub was a fun and relaxing place to hangout in the evenings, especially while doing laundry as it was right there. My child has cerebral palsy and this place was wheelchair accessible and large enough to accommodate for his needs too.

Founders’ Pointe Did Not Disappoint

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. To ski each day, we just walked across the street to the village and grabbed our skis from the demo rental shop (and they provided amazing service!). Then we were steps from the gondola and a day of glorious runs and powder. Our condo had plenty of space to cook simple meals and hang out for the evening. And we even took some time to enjoy the hot tub that is accessible via the same floor as the condo. Oh, and the washers and dryers are also located on the same floor as the condo as well. One evening I even enjoyed the hot tub while doing laundry. Now that is the way to go!!!

Great location and Access

Great location and access for Winter Park Stay - very clean and comfortable master bed. Not a good unit if you are wanting to use any wifi for work/personal business/or kids devices as there is no unit wifi - only the building wifi - so need to go off unit for most needs

Great location

This is the place if you want to stay near the slopes. Very convenient with the ability to park under the unit. You can store skis in ski locker provided OR in your car as we did. Only problem was checking in, our internet was spotty, but the management team was quick to respond to a text with the code to enter. Hot tub was great with amazing slope views!

Good but not great

Most everything was fine. However, my biggest complaint, and for us it was a challenge, is the sofa bed was un-sleepable. The mattress in the sofa bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever seen. You could feel every bump and bar in the bed. This is billed as a unit that can sleep four. If you don’t mind sleeping on what feels like bars across your body, then you might do ok with having more than two in the unit. My daughter that was relegated to the sofa bed had a difficult time sleeping and was not happy each day when she got up. If they change the mattress in the sofa bed, I would give it higher marks. The one other thing that really annoyed me was the parking. They have a great underground garage but you have to pay $20 per day. I’ve never rented a condo with on site parking where it cost extra. I don’t recall seeing an additional parking fee in the listing. However, I may have missed it and if so, that would be my fault. But it’s not something I would have ever expected anyway. One other thing that I should mention but didn’t really bother me was that the lock on the door did not work when we checked in. Apparently this happened to a number of people we spoke with. We called the emergency number and they were able to automatically unlock the door so it was a minor inconvenience.

My Personal Ski Camp

I wanted to start out the ski season with 4 solid days of skiing. The property location was so convenient for access to the slopes, with a ski locker, and a heated garage for my car. The unit had a well equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, which was very cozy, and a big bath tub to soak in after a day on the slopes. I'd rent it again in a heartbeat.

Highly recommend

Highly recommend this cozy space for up to 4 people. It’s very comfortable and clean and conveniently located. It only takes a couple minutes to walk to the gondola, gear rental place, and multiple restaurants. (Highly recommend Stoneys for a great burger). The hot tub was so nice after skiing as well as the fireplace. We didn’t cook but the kitchen appeared to be well stocked. The bathroom is spacious and clean. The only “issue” that I found with the space is that there is no room in the closet for personal items. This wasn’t a problem for us because we only stayed a few nights. But I can see how this may be a problem for people who are staying longer or have a lot of luggage. Overall, I highly recommend and I hope to be back in the future!!
