One of the highlights of the property is the beautiful flowing stream directly behind the house. The large deck sits just 15 feet from the stream’s edge, allowing you to relax to the sights and sounds of the running water. Soak in the hot tub overlooking the stream, enjoy the outdoor flat-screen TV, barbecue on the deck, or settle into the outdoor couch beside the gas fire table for an evening by the water.

Step down to the new bluestone streamside patio, where six chairs provide a peaceful spot for morning coffee, afternoon relaxation or evening drinks just steps from the water with Solo Fire Pits streamside.

A private footbridge takes you across the stream to a large open lawn and a 20-foot-diameter sitting area with six Adirondack chairs surrounding a wood-burning fire pit. Spend the evening beside the fire listening to the stream and, thanks to the open setting, enjoying beautiful views of the stars overhead. The yard also offers plenty of room for outdoor fun, including bocce, cornhole, horseshoes and other games.

Inside, the home is just as inviting. The spacious, modern kitchen includes a Breville Barista espresso and cappuccino machine with built-in grinder. The comfortable living room features a smart flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, DirecTV, HBO, a charming new gas stove and a wonderful 1906 antique player piano. An assortment of board games provides additional entertainment, and the spacious two-person shower is a welcome place to relax after a day of hiking or skiing.

The country setting is part of the experience. You may wake up to deer wandering through the backyard, while beautiful horses and sheep can often be seen just across the road. Yet you’re only about 2.1 miles from Main Street Windham and 3.4 miles from Windham Mountain Club, giving you easy access to restaurants, shops and year-round activities. Hunter Mountain is also an easy drive away.

There is plenty to explore beyond the property. Enjoy nearby hiking, golf and cross-country skiing; spend a summer day at Zoom Flume Water Park; or visit CD Lane Park, North-South Lake and the surrounding Catskill trails and scenic areas. Explore the historic Catskill Mountain House site and its spectacular views, Boulder Rock, waterfalls and some of the most beautiful hiking in the Catskills.

For a change of scenery, the historic city of Hudson is approximately 40 minutes away and offers excellent restaurants, distinctive shops, antiques, galleries and plenty of character.

The apartment has its own private entrance and is completely separate from the guest accommodations.
