This affluent area draws millions of visitors each year, and as soon as you walk down to the shore edge, looking over the water towards the Langdale fells, you’ll know you’ve made a great choice for your next holiday in the heart of the Lake District National Park.



If you fancy a cruise on the lake, the famous Windermere Lake Cruises depart from Bowness to various destinations including Lakeside, where you can visit The Aquarium of The Lakes offering a great day out for all the family. You can combine your day out with a journey on the Lakeside to Haverthwaite Steam Railway, where a shuttle bus can take you to the Lakeland Motor Museum. Just a short walk from Club Cottage you will find The World of Beatrix Potter attraction to take you back to your childhood. If you want adrenaline filled adventure, then why not try Go Ape treetop adventure and zip wire course, which can be accessed using the traditional car ferry from Windermere to Hawkshead. If you like the rugged outdoors, this is a great place to get active, as you are surrounded by some amazing walking and cycling routes, as well some of the most picturesque scenery around including lakes, waterfalls, forests and not too far away, even sandy beaches. You are within a short drive to many other popular Lake District and Cumbrian towns such as Ambleside, Kendal, Grasmere, Ulverston and Coniston.
