Hotel rural agradable con un buen desayuno.
Hotel rural con un pub-restaurant típico de la zona y al que le han añadido diferentes módulos como habitaciones.La habitación y baño eran espaciosos y se encontraban en buenas condiciones.Todo el mobiliario era muy funcional. El desayuno inglés estaba muy bueno y tenías diferentes opciones a elegir en la carta.El servicio era atento y eficiente. El día de la llegada cenamos en el pub y fue una agradable experiencia. Son gente seria en el trato pero eficientes.La excepción fue una chica belga que nos atendió a nuestra llegada que le daba un toque más jovial al ambiente. A título de anécdota , tuvimos un par de arácnidos compañeros totalmente inofensivos (cosas que pasan cuando te alojas en el campo) que no fueron molestía ya que estaban en el techo y que fue una de las anécdotas del viaje.Que nadie se asuste. El pueblo en el que está situado (Littleton) es muy bonito, típico de la campiña inglesa. El hotel cumplió las expectativas que teniamos y lo recomendamos para estancias en la zona.

Its a shame our stay in this unique hotel was spoilt by a heating issue and amateur service. Instead of informing us of a problem with the heating upon check in, we were expected to accept a noisy fan heater blasting hot air like a hairdryer for the night. When it was brought to the attention of the staff, i expected a quick response but nothing happened for over an hour with sub zero temperatures outside. The staff were very dismissive of the issue and thought it was perfectly acceptable. Although they did source a portable heater and extra duvet while we had dinner, it would have been courteous to know what was happening. Service at breakfast was painfully slow and all the staff showed no interest in rectifying the situation. We have stayed in other hotels within the chain and professionally trained many staff with the hospitality industry, I am very disappointed with the level of service at The Running Horse.

Overall this was a lovely stay away from my home in a built up environment, the pub is set in a lovely area and not a sound could be heard apart from the local wildlife. We had a very welcoming reception from all staff members and the atmosphere was very friendly The food was fantastic but the accommodation let it down! We paid £220 for a king size but unfortunately in my mind it wasn’t very king size!!! The room was very small and nothing special about it especially considering the amount that was charged. Also the price did not include breakfast !!! In my experience this should have been a maximum £150 per night plus breakfast .

Lovely comfy stay.
Had a good two night stay,the room was very comfy with a nice selection of hot drinks available,the room was lovely and warm as the heating was on,the bathroom was a good size with a great shower,I loved the toiletries,it was a well thought out room for a comfortable stay. We ate only one night in the restaurant it had a good menu and was very nice,it was busy due to the time of year but the staff were pleasant and coped well,enjoyed our stay.

Good surprise!
What a nice and interesting hotel that this one! in an environment of ranch, the hotel propose small and "cosy" bedrooms apparently made from paddocks. My room was comfortable and well equipped. At the same location, a very good restaurant proposed very good items. I took my lunch, my dinner and also my breakfast and was totally satisfied by all my selections. I definitely recommand this hotel-restaurant managed by very a nice and discrete young couple. THANK YOU!

A country gem……
We had a short 1 night stay at this Wonderful pub. Great location in a rural village but only 10 mins drive to Winchester. We only regret our stay was not longer and we will be back. Lovely breakfast choices and a truly lovely welcome.

well worth consideration as a overnight stay
don't bother booking some faceless hotel in the area if you have the option of staying at the Running horse. well worth your money. Shame we didn't arrive early enough to taste the evening meals on offer.

I had a great experience during my stay at The Running Horse. The staff were more than helpful with everything, the food at the pub was great, and the room was exactly what I needed. My only issue was the struggle to get an Uber from the location, given its location (not an issue for most people who have vehicles). I'd absolutely stay here again given my great experience.

The fire alarm went of and woke us at 7am on sunday morning leaving us exhausted having got in at 12.30,no apology was made by staff, just family told staff had set it off as they came into work,Breakfast took nearly an hour to be served from being ordered as their ipad didnt upload the order.Also they didnt have much for self service ,despite an hour left of breakfast service,1 croissant was the only continental item on the breakfast table range.

Delightful room. Great location in a pleasent village just outside of Winchester. Friendly, helpful, staff. Dog Friendly. Well kept real ale. Clean and tidy. A minor point, but the bathroom extractor wasn't working and the dust needed vacuuming off it. Would stay again.
