The more than 100 year old courthouse is the center of a busy little town filled with shops, antiques, country dining, store browsing and relaxation. If you are really hungry, Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House Restaurant has two seating's most days (closed on Sunday), but reservations are required. It's a place for true southern hospitality and home cooking served family style. Also Barrel House BBQ, Southern Perks, Whiskey Runners Restaurant.. Drive a few miles and you can be at the Tim's Ford State Park and Marina (Hard Dock Café), Bear Trace (a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course), the Elk River for canoeing and trout fishing.
