Beautiful beach view from porch and from bedrooms. We liked the easy beach access and convenience to Kure Beach and Carolina Beach. Kitchen was well-stocked and spacious. Everything was clean. We had a wonderful stay.

Unique and lovely, and that view.... We felt like we had been there a thousand times before because it was so inviting. My 79 year old mother took her first outdoor shower which was amazing! I would have loved a few more days of sunshine but would not give up our rainy, windy, overcast days. We laughed, we cooked, and napped. We read outloud and silently, and played cards. Took walks during the breaks in the weather. Took a few in the middle of the weather. The location and ability to walk to town and the pier was amazing. Short drive to so many things but honestly so much to walk to you could park it and stay put. I struggled to leave the house because I had everything I needed right there. A quiet little piece of heaven! Wish we were still there.

The location of this property is really fantastic. In our experience, Kure Beach is quieter than Carolina Beach, and you're just steps to the beach access to the north and a five minute stroll to Kure Beach "downtown" to the south. Which means you're still only a 5-10 minute drive to all that Carolina Beach has to offer or the Fort Fisher museum, beach, aquarium, and ferry. We spent a lot of time on the great front porch enjoying the views and the waves, especially since it rained several days on our trip - could still enjoy some of the beach experience while being under cover. Kitchen is fully stocked, and there are beach chairs and other gear around back. A couple of the decor choices and a few pieces of furniture feel a little dated, but if anything, we thought it was nicer than the pictures on the listing. The property could probably accommodate two small families pretty well for a beach week vacation. We would definitely recommend.

Perfect location! Loved the huge porch which became our “go to” for family meals and relaxing. Easy access to the beach … just a minute away. Close to a great fishing pier with restaurants, arcade, etc. Kure Beach is a hidden gem and this house is wonderful to experience not only Kure Beach but adjacent Carolina Beach, the Aquarium, and the ferry. We absolutely loved our time here!

Family Beach Trip

After a rough start we had a delightful time. As everyone else has written the front porch with the rocking chairs was wonderful! We arrived during a heat wave and the main ceiling fan in the living area was broken. The owner came over and furnished us with several portable fans until she could get the overhead fixed. It is an older house and some issues that come with that. However that also means it has trees on either side that block your neighbors while you have this amazing view of the sea oats and ocean. There is a great outdoor shower- I don’t think anyone showered inside. The 2 year old loved the clawfoot tub upstairs!As we had our grandson with us I had initial concerns about the access rod in front of the house. It is not much wider than the boardwalk so was not an issue at all. Location is terrific!

We love this place because of the shady porch with an ocean view. It's a quick easy walk to the beach, but the porch is a great place to enjoy the scenery when it's too hot or at night. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, and beach chairs are provided.

Best Porch view

We had the best time at Moonspinner Cottage. It’s a super short walk to the beach. The cottage was perfect for our family of 5 plus nanny. We especially loved the porch. We spent all our time there and at the beach. The porch has a little table so we had our meals out there too. I’m sure going to miss those beautiful ocean views.

Relaxing place to stay

We took a walk to the pier all seven days. Freddie’s is a good place to eat. Watched the sunrises and moon rise. Hope you enjoye your stay as much as we did.

October Slice of Heaven

This precious house had even more amenities than we had anticipated. You can tell that the owner takes a lot of pride in keeping the house immaculate, safe, and cozy. Not only did we experience some wonderful restaurants, thanks to the recommendations of the owner, but we also ventured out to the Fort Fisher Ferry to explore Southport. So many different opportunities within a short drive of the house. We eagerly anticipate returning to this wonderful house on this peaceful beach.

Beautiful, Cozy Seaside Cottage

We couldn't have asked for a better house, location, or owner for our fall break with the teenage kids - both asked if we can come back, which tends to be high praise from teenagers. We love the NC coast in the fall and had never stayed in Kure Beach and it did not disappoint. The house is ideally located - near the pier with a great boardwalk to it, but not so close that there are any impacts from traffic. Beach access is incredibly convenient and beach itself has plenty of space. You can get some great waves (for east coast) and regularly see surfers. Other attractions like the NC Aquarium and a ferry to the town of Southport are within 10 minutes. The house has a very well supplied kitchen, comfortable and ample seating, and comfortable beds, and the porch is ideal any time of the day. Everything has been incredibly well thought out and implemented. Definitely recommend staying here, and hopefully we will return, too.

Great property

We enjoyed this cottage so much because of the covered front porch overlooking the ocean. We had a rainy week, but got to enjoy being outside with an ocean view even during the showers. The location is convenient to pier and restaurants. We enjoyed the boardwalk, and the parking area is spacious. Lots of chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards were available too. The only inconvenience was having only one shower.

Perfect Beach Location

The house is located with direct beach access, and a short walk to the peer. The porch was a peaceful hangout for us, where we could watch the waves break and nap on the hammock.

Moonspinner Cottage

The cottage and property are very well maintained. The front porch provides a wonderful view of the ocean. Parking is very spacious. Debbie is very accessible and responsive if you have any questions or need to speak to her.

Cozy beach cottage

This was a lovely place for our annual family vacation. Loved the front porch and location of the ocean. Debbie was a great and responsive host. I recommend decluttering the place so guests have more space starting with the numerous fake plants and random nic naks. Also sharing the sprinkler schedule with renters would be helpful to know when house accesses may be affected especially when arriving. Definitely would stay again!
