This is a lovely, very livable home decorated quite tastefully and with a generously equipped kitchen. There's an outdoor dining table on one of the decks that seats 8, and in the game room is a large table suitable for big jigsaw puzzles and other games. Our party of seven ranged in age from 14 to 84 (cheers for the elevator!), and our bedrooms gave us all very comfortable accommodations. There's a large tv in the living room and other sets elsewhere, and a gaming system that the teens enjoyed. We grilled near the swimming pool one evening, and watched fireworks from the highest deck on another. Kure Beach and Carolina Beach are full of attractions (pickleball courts, an outdoor volleyball pit, an escape room, arcades and shops, etc.) and appealing restaurants. The 100-year-old Kure Beach pier drew us several times for strolls and for browsing the thousands of items for sale in the shop. A great vacation week!

Fabulous stay!

Once again another wonderful family vacation at this fabulous rental. This is our family’s second year at Sharon and Alan’s place. They always have it so clean and so well stocked with almost everything which is not the norm for most rentals. We do appreciate all they do to make our vacation so enjoyable - communication is great! We love, love, love, this location.

Wonderful

We had a family vacation, including 6 adults and 3 children under 7 years old. This property was perfect. A few of our favorite things: 1) The multiple balconies including the 4th level 360 degree view, which we loved for sunsets. 2) The master bedrooms are spacious and the showers have many nozzle options. 3) The very short walk to the beach. 4) A walk to Kure for the pier, restaurants, and a convenience store. 5) Short drive up the coast to get to the grocery store, more restaurants, and the amusement park at Carolina Beach, and 6) The many folding chairs, beach toys, umbrella, and wagon made our beach days easy and fun.

Exceptionally clean, with yearly upgrades

This was our fifth year in a row and we have never regretted it. What stands out is that every time we come back to the house it seems so well maintained, with upgrades, so clean and so pleasant to start your family vacation. Plenty of beach equipment, kitchen equipment, and a wonderful pool. Thank you to the host for making our family vacations so memorable.

If I could give Pier Gazer 10 stars I would. By far the neatest, cleanest, most organized and well stocked rental we have had in the 8 years we have been coming to Carolina/Kure Beach. It is in a fabulous location! You can tell that the owners, Sharon and Alan, take really good care of their property. Best beach trip ever. It was so much appreciated and would definitely book again!

Outstanding Stay

Our group of teens stayed at Piergazer for their senior year spring break trip. This house was worth the money. Every single implement required in the kitchen was there. Fully stocked games closet. Plenty of room for 9 teens and a mama chaperone. The views are lovely and the location is ideal. I wish the wondows would have been able to be opened. All of the handles are removed. I figure its a safety concern, so no matter. The host was friendly and communicative. I was surprised at the lack of trashbags on site but that was a tiny detail. Five stars. Will stay again.

Great place

This place was everything that was advertised and more. The weather was not good, but we made the best of it. Space was great. My grandson loved the game room. Would most definitely recommend this place to anyone. We will be back. Oh and this was our first trip to Kure Beach. Thank you

Perfect stay

Pier Gazer provides a perfect location...steps from the beach and close to Kure Pier, restaurants and a convenience store. There were 10 of us and we had lots of room to spread out. Having a pool on site was wonderful for the kids after being on the beach. One of my favorite spots was the balcony which had a nice ocean view. The owners are very communicative and helpful. The place was pristinely clean when we arrived (kudos to the housekeeping staff!). The kitchen and the bar are well-stocked. We have stayed at several rentals along Wrightsville/Carolina/Kure beaches, and Pier Gazer has definitely been our favorite, I would highly recommend this place!

Family Vacation 2023

Property is exactly as described on the VRBO site. Close walk to the beach. The house was well furnished including the kitchen. Very clean. I communicated directly with Sharon and Alan via the VRBO site and they were quick to respond and addressed all questions we had both before the trip and during. Fast response

Overall, the house was very clean and comfortable. Sharon and Alan were very responsive with answering our questions and concerns that occurred during our stay. The place had everything! So many amenities in this home. Weather was not great, so we took advantage of the games and puzzles they offer. The elevator was helpful for a handicapped family member. We would definitely stay here again.

Superb rental for Kure Beach!

Great location within short walking distance of all Kure Beach has to offer. The owners have gone above and beyond - kitchen was fantastic and lots of beach chairs and toys. The pool and game room added to the fun. Really enjoyed the views from the top deck

Absolute perfection

This was the perfect house for me and my family. It has absolutely everything we needed. Just bring your groceries and you are set. It has everything from the soap to wash the dishes, that are provided, down to the chairs to sit on the beach with. The pool is so nice and it is literally steps from the beach, amazing!! I could go on and on about this house, you just have to experience for yourself! We will definitely be using this home again when we return for another family vacation. The homeowners are quick to respond to every message and are very kind.
