The house and setting were so peaceful and exactly as advertised! The house is also very thoughtfully designed to make the most of the space and stay clean- hooks where you need them, boot scrapers by the front door, safety gates on the outside stairs, etc. it’s clear that someone thought about what guests with dogs and kids would need to relax and they totally got it right. Lots of accessible hikes just a short drive down the road. Hosts were very responsive. The kitchen is very well equipped and totally serviceable for easy meals but if you are a foodie that is picky about your cookware you should just bring your favorite pot or pan with you. We will definitely be returning in the future!

We had a wonderful stay, it was such a beautiful place, with such an amazing view. Every inch of space was utilized so perfectly. The additional amenities really made this one of my favorite properties I’ve ever stayed at (the bidets, steam shower, sauna, hot tub, and heated floor). The rooms were set up perfectly, it was difficult to decide which one to stay in because they were all so beautiful. I appreciated all of the information from the host, she also called us shortly after we got there to see if there was anything else that we needed. All of the instructions were perfect and made it so we didn’t have any questions during our stay. Time flew by, we can’t wait to visit again and maybe stay for longer!

Beautiful property and gracious hosts

We had a long overdue family reunion at this beautiful home. Gorgeous views in all directions; well appointed, clean and welcoming retreat, and warm and helpful hosts. We really enjoyed our time hiking, fishing, sitting on the deck overlooking Whiteface and relaxing. Our hosts were thoughtful and readily available. We will definitely return! Thank you.

Great property in an awesome location

We really enjoyed our stay at this property!!! The location is absolutely fantastic as it’s close to the slopes and within walking distance of some beautiful hiking trails. The house was very clean and had great amenities including king-sized beds, nice linens, a sauna and a yard that our dogs really enjoyed. We highly recommend this property!!!!

High Peaks Chalet Review

Beautiful Adirondack Getaway Spot

We booked this for a family gathering, the home was the perfect size for us. The view of Whiteface Mountain was incredible. Each morning we would have coffee on the serene deck facing the mountain. Evenings would be spent by the firepit or in the hot tub. My father who was not able to accompany us on our hikes was able to relax with his dogs to keep him company. The home was well designed and comfortable and the hosts reached out to make sure everything was ok for our stay. Overall it was a lovely stay!

Beautiful Property!

We had a great time at Judi's place. The house is so lovely, clean and has everything you would need. The beds were very comfortable and the shower on the second floor was amazing. Very close to some walking and biking trails that we enjoyed every morning. Short ride to Whiteface and not far from Lake Placid. Highly recommend!

Amazing property and wonderfully experience

This is an amazing property with a fantastic view of Whiteface Mountain. It is nice and secluded with a backyard that spans back to an open field with a running stream. Great for birdwatching and lounging by a fire. The check in experience was simple. The property a ton of great amenities and was a quick drive away from Lake Placid. I would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic Winter Getaway!

We had a terrific stay with Adirondack-Vacation. The house was a perfect place to come home to after a day on the slopes of Whiteface Mountain. You can't beat the heat options of this home! (Hot tub, sauna, steam shower, heated floors, heated toilet seats... It was awesome!) The house itself is a perfect setting for a family vacation. Communication with the host and caretaker was excellent. I have two minor complaints, one being the towels and bedding. They were basic hotel quality at best. The sheets were not soft and we would have preferred comforters to the summer quilts on the beds. The other complaint in the TV/sound system. It only worked intermittently despite following the instructions to a T. It wasn't major issue for us because we spent the majority of our time outside. A good thing to know about this place is the owners will send you a list of list of items to bring, most of which turned out to be unnecessary. This was a pleasant surprise -I just wish I knew before hand that I didn't need to pack toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, garbage bags etc. They are far better equipped with these items than indicated in our welcome email. You will however, need spices, salt, pepper, sugar... Overall, this is a beautiful place in a terrific location.

Lovely Home and Great location

The home was very, very nice. Loved the location to about 50 or more trails for hiking. Some within walking distance some able to drive to but not very far. Loved all the extra amenities especially the fireplace, sauna, steam shower and heated floors. Did not use the bedroom above the garage although we did check it out and it was lovely. So we know for next time in case we bring more family.
