Walls were paper thin. I heard banging and yelling all night from rooms above us, next to us, and down from us. My room shook when someone’s door shut. And we had to be up early. I booked the hotel because of the pool as well. It wasn’t working because of “An accident with the parking garage”. I couldn’t use the toilet and open the door because the door opened past the toilet. There was about 10in between the door and the toilet. And the door hit the shower. The bathroom was smaller than a closet. Myself and a 5 year old were cramped in there. It was horrible for $300 for a night. Probably better off at a motel.

The check in process was a disaster. I arrived for a 3:00 check-in - The lobby was full of guests waiting to check in. I came back close to 5:30 and the lobby was still full of people waiting to check in. There was an issue with housekeeping unable to clean the rooms in a timely manner. I did not receive my room key until nearly 6:00. I have never experienced such a disastrous check in.

Property rooms far and old. Coffe pot spewed out foul small and clumps of particles in water. Horrible experience. Staff was polite and accommodating to the best of their ability.

Outdated hotel but clean and comfortable room
Room was comfortable and clean. Very friendly check in. The hotel is very dated and needs updating and attention. The elevator was old with chipped walls and the hallways were old. Needs some investment. Awful smell of pot in the hallway.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is not maintained very well. Maybe it’s because of the area. The walls are very thin and I was kept up all night listening to the guest next to me watch tv ALL NIGHT LONG and the volume was loud. Do not pay for the breakfast! I was given a free breakfast voucher (probably because my room was right next to the lobby, very loud at 12:45am when guests were socializing there). There wasn’t enough wait staff and all beverages were brought to you, so I only had one cup of coffee, no water or OJ. Food was average. It’s just a below average hotel, I expected more from a Doubletree. And there were no hot cookies available which is what the hotel is known for. Saying all that, my experience would have been worse if the staff wasn’t so nice and friendly.

Property overall is outdated and air inside as soon you walk-in smell and feels damp and moist. Pool was permanently closed, we choose this hotel for the kids to spend some time in the pool but unfortunately didn’t happen. On a good side personnel is nice and trying be very helpful, room seems clean. Definitely this place needs update, wouldn’t stay here next visit.

Friday night food wasn’t good. There wasn’t any good wine. White Zinfandel wine. Saturday morning breakfast was cold and I was the eighth person in line. The omelette station had no one to work it. The food items were there and no one was there to prepare it

The hotel pool was closed but that was not mentioned when booking the hotel. Room service was also not available. Hotel was one street over from Market street with great restaurants but had to walk down unsavory-smelling side streets to get there. Room, carpet and linens felt a little musty. Staff was friendly, courteous and warm which helped make it bearable.

The stay was ok and property was fair. My only critique is when I had food delivered, front desk clerks (four to be precise) did not inform me. It’s understandable that the lobby can be busy, yet it was cleared when I got down there.

Representative at the check in desk was very sweet. All the employees were very nice that we spoke to.
