Our go to place for family staycation. Location is great and easy to get to. Homes is always well stocked with everything you need to cook and be comfortable. The gazebo and dock are an added plus.

Family vacation

We have stayed numerous times at Serenity. The home and property are always well maintained and provide us with all the comforts of home. The dock for our boat is an added plus and gives us easy access to the intracoastal waterway. Hosts are always easy to communicate with.

Wonderful!

Perfect getaway for our family birthday celebration. Close enough to restaurants and shopping yet the home feels secluded and private. The property was gorgeous! Having our boat with us was an extra added bonus. Definitely worth the visit!

The Tatum’s are excellent hosts and were very responsive. We enjoyed our stay and location was good. The property is maintained and the water view and yard are great. We are originally from Wilmington area and wanted a quieter location. Plan to visit again!

Lovely house in quiet spot area on the water

We had a lovely stay at Jennifer's place. The house was plenty comfortable for 6 adults, and the yard space was great for the dog. We spent most of our time on the dock which had ample seating room for fishing and lounging. We did not have a boat with us, but this location would be perfect to spend a week / weekend with your boat docked right at the house. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Family Vacation

Our family wanted one more quick summer vacation before everyone went their separate ways for the fall. This was a great place to spend time together. Plenty of space for games and family meals. We enjoyed the outdoor area, fishing and kayaking. Jennifer was very helpful and accomodating. Perfect place for a quiet retreat!

R and R for the whole family

We stay at Serenity Cottage every year and always savor our time there. It is such a calm and beautiful location. Even when there are lots of rainy days, the view and peacefulness of the location renews your spirit. Our dog loves his pier walks, doggy door and fenced area. The house meets every need and we are comfortable and relaxed the whole stay. Even on the hottest days, the covered deck on the pier gets great breezes and is the perfect spot for a great book. Our son is able to fish to his heart's content without the challenge of surf fishing. But when you want time on the beach, it's just a short drive over. When you want to shop or see a movie, it's just a short drive to the Mayfaire shopping center. We hope to continue our vacations here for many years to come!

It truly is serenity

We love this place. Second time staying and fell more in love. The view is undeniably the best. The trees, the shade, and the birds all around the back porch makes it a focal point of gathering. My 88y/o grandma came and sat on the back porch the whole time and just kept saying she felt so free . Jennifer is very communicative. The area is quiet and very family oriented. We brought our paddle board and tritoon and enjoyed being on the dock and out in the water. The boys played cornhole and threw the baseball and football in the backyard. It is so nice to come to a rental and have the true home feel where you’re not stuck bringing all the extra. We will be back!

Perfect stay

We enjoyed this home and property so, so much! We were away from all the hustle and bustle of Wilmington yet close enough to go eat at nice restaurants or go to the beach for a few hours. The porch and gazebo/dock were the best. All the different birds, squirrels, raccoons, fox and dolphins were entertaining to watch. Fishing from the dock was also a lot of fun. Communication with the homeowner was quick, easy and professional.

Heaven on Earth

This is just a gem of a location, a comfortable home with all the amenities you could ask for, and excellent, expert hosts! We are former Wilmington residents, and frequent Wrightsville Beach goers. We are picky about our Wilmington properties, but this one is perfection for 3 reasons. 1) They are experienced hosts. The house has everything you could possibly think of in order to fully relax on your stay. The kitchen it's fully equipped, as is the laundry room, the yard, the dock, etc. they even provide toys in the bunk room, which is rare. They are communicative, helpful, clear, and prepared for any situation. They are also very dog friendly, which is a huge bonus for many families. Staying here felt like being at home because you had all you needed. 2) This area of the intracoastal is famous for its beauty and this is one of the best spots. They have the longest pier, and plenty of shelter at the end of it. The dock is safe and superb, making swimming or boating easy. The views are incomparable, and the sun rises over the water out of the queen bedroom window. My father said he spent a lot of time on these waters & often finds whole sand dollars or conchs wash up on sandbars. It's truly peaceful and one of a kind. Much better than the hustle and bustle of the beach if you want serenity! 3) The location is convenient to so much of what Wilmington has to offer! We walked to a wildlife refuge, and easily got to our favorite restaurant and beach locations!

Love Serenity Cottage!

This is our 2nd time staying at Serenity Cottage while visiting Wilmington. We love the location on Pages Creek and the house is just as nice to accommodate our family of 4 plus 2 dogs. We absolutely love the outside spaces, beautiful dock, and the home feels like a home away from home for us with everything you could possibly need for a long weekend, week or month plus visit! We will definitely be back!

Our beach haven

We love staying at Serenity and being hosted by Bill and Jennifer year after year! There are improvements made for guests' convenience and comfort every year we return. This year's was my favorite - a roof over the waterside deck! I was able to spend so much time by the water reading and relaxing despite the July heat with cool breezes making it comfortable. Our young man had great fishing success and nearly landed a juvenile shark. We were able to sleep well, cook easily and just relax in the den when we were ready to stay in. It's just a short trip to the beach, shops and restaurants as well.We wish we had room to pack our bikes as the street is calm and perfect for biking. Our little terrier had a great time as always. He loves running the dock and having his doggy door for his outside needs. We're not sure who has a harder time leaving for home again, the family or the dog! The Wifi is great, also, and allowed the college kids to do online classes in between their coastal fun. We'll be back!
