House was not overly clean. Toilets had not been cleaned, tv screen was dirty, stink bugs were present with indications of mice in walls. In contrast, House was large with plenty of room for family to enjoy.

What a great location and warm cozy home for our Thanksgiving Dinner! Centrally located to our family members all over New England the home was welcoming, tastefully appointed with seasonal accessories and welcoming to our overnight guests. Cooking a large meal for 16, we had everything we needed - place settings, pots, pans, utensils and bakeware! Two cozy sitting areas added to our comfort. Our host thought of everything!

What a wonderful home! This house was huge! There were plenty of rooms for our family, but 3 of my relatives did not make it.The first floor had a bedroom right near the main floor bathroom which was perfect for my 82 year old parents.My husband and I stayed in the upstairs master suite.We were there for Friday and Saturday night.My daughter's wedding was in Union which was a short 15 minute drive.Unfortunately with all the prep at the wedding venue, we were hardly at the house at all.We absolutely loved the huge kitchen and the dining table would have been great for all the games that were stacked by the wood stove.The communication with host Heather was wonderful, and she was very accommodating for an early check in, but we didn't need it as we went straight to the wedding venue to set up.My husband took a walk down to the dock to check it out in the morning.We will definitely keep this property in mind for a family week long vacation in the future.I would definitely recommend staying at this property.

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our Mom’s 95th birthday! Enough room for all of us. The kitchen and deck allowed for us to be together with a lot of space. And the lake with all the boats! A great time was had by all : )

My husband and my step daughter and family stayed here. It is an open space a living room. Sitting room. 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom but kitchen is a women or a person who enjoys cooking dream kitchen. Large counter in middle with stools, and dining table for up to 8. It's amazing. This place has everything you need, clean. But wait til u step out on the wrap around deck... The view from there... Lake a shirt walk from the house. I would rather this place 5 stars. Communication with host was fast. I would love to come back again. Thank you. Sitting on that deck was like a piece of heaven!

Tons to Do, Beautiful!

We booked this for our friends to stay here while attending our wedding. The place was gorgeous, immaculate, and gave them plenty to do (including kayaking!) while we got ready for the wedding and took photos!

The property was spacious and overall quiet. Plenty of room for the 6 of us to have our own space or gather together as desired. The deck and kitchen were lovely areas to hang out together. However, the overall upkeep of the place and thoughtfulness regarding guests needs was a little lacking. For example, there was a big kitchen but the actual useful items for a family to cook were lacking (e.g., the only skillet was so deformed you couldn't cook much in it), rather it seemed to be filled with old appliances and such that the owner no longer uses. There were 4 kayaks, but one didn't have a kayak paddle. The path down to the pond/kayaks was very slick and steep in places - one of us fell. The bathrooms were dark and quite dated. Overall, we didn't feel it was worth the amount we paid.

Trip to Brimfield Antique Shows

The property is completely beautiful in a quiet and lush woodlot overlooking the lake with naturalized plantings and a spacious deck. We only stayed for one night and ate out, but the kitchen is expansive and well fitted out with pots and pans and would be great for a large group and entertaining family and friends.

Thanksgiving Vacation House

What a delight to open the kitchen curtains and seeing the beautiful lake! Peaceful, refreshing, perfect way to start the holiday or any memory moment! This was our second stay at the house and it was better than the first! We hiked locally and enjoyed the events throughout the town.

Beautiful Location

The house is in a beautiful location and is setup wonderfully to joyfully cook a big meal with a group of people. The house is comfortable and inviting, if a bit worn down (chipping paint, rust, and some dusty shelves). The beds are comfortable as are the sitting and living rooms. The jetted bathtub in the pictures was out of order and there are instructions not to use the wood stoves. The hosts have very distinct instructions and their personality was clearly showcased.
