"Parking was easy not so sure about secure. It is pet friendly but there is nowhere closeby where you could let the dog off as the garden opens on to the main road. Didn't see any staff apart from the manager when we arrived and that was a total fluke. the room was riddled with ants they were everywhere, i even landed up bringing some home with me. The pedal bin had'nt been washed out."

"This is the first negative review I've ever had to give. We stayed at The Golden Lion Hotel St. Ives. (13-14 Feb) We stayed in Room 20 which was very small and had the constant, very loud noise of the kitchen extractor humming. On the first night it was still on at 10.45pm and we had to ask Reception to deal with it and then it was back on, waking us up at 7pm. "Booked the comfort triple room with private bathroom, on arrival we were shown to a twin room and a single room, without private bathroom. When we quieried this the barman said they don’t have triple rooms with private bathrooms so I showed him the booking I made along with this room still being advertised. "It was a surprise to see such a tiny room and tiny bathroom. I complained about the low heating. 21 degrees is a low temperature taking into account that there's no heating in the bathroom, which is freezing. At least they change the towels daily. The machine to boil water for the coffee powder is also appreciated."
