OMG, this home and property were amazing! We loved the remote location and privacy. There were 11 of us traveling together, we loved the privacy of the cabanas and the great gathering spaces both inside and outside of the main home. The beach access was everything we could have hoped for. The island itself was beautiful and the colors of the ocean were indescribable! Everyone we met was kind and welcoming and made you feel right at home. Judy, the Property Manager, is such a great asset…she gave us great information and can literally make anything you need happen. We love Exuma and never wanted to leave! Now about some of those roads…all driveable, but you’ll need to have a little sense of adventure .

Out of this world experience

I can spend hours describing the amazing time we had, but ill summarize it. The description and pictures do not match how beautiful the house and location is. You have to see it to believe it. Judy was beyond amazing. Always answered the phone and was there for anything we needed. The island and the residents were all beautiful, humble, and happy people. In short, the vibes of the exumas, combine with everything I mentioned, makes this trip a once in a lifetime experience. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you

Island Paradise

This is an incredible house and we had an amazing stay. The listing and pictures were all accurate and the house did not disappoint at all. If you have never been to Exhuma, it is hard to describe the setting other than you are remote, but once you get there you will be in paradise and in good hands with your host and house concierge, Judy. Like driving on the left side of the road, you will quickly acclimate to the new experience and it will be well worth the drive! And speaking of driving, don’t forget to read the guide and drove past the house a little further to a couple of restaurants that are hidden gems on that side of the island and five minutes from the house. And don’t worry if you can’t unplug, Internet worked perfectly. But do unplug because you don’t want to waste this beautiful setting!

Just perfect from beginning to end!

The Cascatta Villa was simply amazing! It started with our search for a vacation rental back in January. We looked all over the Caribbean but coming back to Exuma and specifically this house and boy are we glad we did! The house, location, concierge and host are the best in the business! Judy Gray (concierge for this house) was simply amazing…everything we needed was handled quickly and to our exact specifications that we requested. The house is off the beaten path which is exactly what we were looking for. There are neighbors but it is very private. The house was incredible with the cabanas off each side and a newly built cabana beside one of them. Heated pool that was actually heated was amazing. We couldn’t get our kids out! Communication with host was always answered quickly and we never felt like a bother asking questions. We will be back next year and many years to follow! 5 stars all around

Perfect family vacation, for all ages

The house is lovely and spacious and the location is perfection. Grandchildren ages 2 to 14 all enjoyed the pool, the beach, the lagoon, kayaks, snorkeling, and generally hanging out. The property manager Judy was extremely helpful is arranging rental cars, stocking groceries, arranging a dinner, and generally handling everything for us.

Work friend get away

Holiday Family Vacation

This property is in a gorgeous location. We enjoyed the views, the pool, playing on the beach at low tide and kayaking all around the lazy river back to the lagoon. It was so private and relaxing. The cabanas off of the pool were perfect for our adult kids to stay in allowing privacy for all!

Incredibly beautiful and peaceful!

First, let me say that we never wanted to leave! The home is spacious and welcoming, the cabanas were great, and the view was good for the soul! The lazy river is perfect for kids of all ages to hang out and explore. The owners were very responsive, as was the property manager, Judy. We also rented vehicles from Judy, which was super easy. Our boat tour booked with Theo Gray was phenomenal! Tip: Download WhatsApp before you go to communicate easily with locals. Then just enjoy paradise!

Everything expected and more!

The whole process from booking on was seamless. Heidi is the most responsive owner I have ever dealt with on a vacation rental!! Judy the property manager was amazing as she responded to any request immediately . As far as the property itself.....The beach and lagoon were nicer than the pictures and very private. The perfect spot for a family vacation!!

Heaven

This property was perfect for my husband and I, our two adult children and their spouses, 1 yr old grandbaby and great grandma. Serene and spacious. The two separate casitas were perfect to give our kids privacy. We loved kayaking in the mangroves, snorkeling outside of the cove , exploring the reef. Wifi went out which is normal and we loved it! No tv no phones - just our family connecting. Thank you for sharing this gem - we hope to return again in a few years!

Great place for a family getaway

The property and location were great. You need to know that you are quite away from town but with a little planning that was no problem. The tidal river was just amazing, watching the tides come and go and riding on the flowing river was great. We saw sting rays and star fish and crabs and conch and just had a great time. You could go just a short way out and get to the ocean and do some more snorkeling. We found the house well equipped and plenty of room to handle our group of 10. The only thing that was a negative where the no-see-ums which you had to plan for and stay in the sun or where the wind kept them away or you got alot of bites. But that was a small price to pay for such a great location and accommodations.

What a lovely home. This house has everything you could want. We loved the natural lazy river, the pool, the kayaks, the sunrise over the ocean, the master bedroom suites, and the well appointed kitchen, the proximity to Tropic of Cancer beach, and the privacy. What really makes the house special is Judy. She really makes the vacation flawless. Thank you. We can’t wait to be back.

Perfect Location

We stayed at Ribbon of Blue and absolutely loved it! The house is beautiful and the photos don’t do it justice. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Judy, the property manager was extremely helpful in giving us advice on where to go on the island for specific needs. She always responded to our calls within minutes and was so polite! The location was about 30 minutes from town but we planned accordingly for groceries. If you like your privacy, this home is located on the best beach on the island. You have your own inlet and there are 5 kayaks to take out and explore the mangrove areas. We all love this home and will definitely return hopefully sooner than later!

Family Oasis at its finest !!

My family and friends had an amazing stay at this rental. The online booking process was smooth and easy. Heidi got back to me directly with answers to all my questions. Heidi was quick to respond and extremely helpful. She gave us helpful local ideas and information about restaurants and rentals that made our stay that much more enjoyable. The view was incredible from our lodging. We enjoyed the sound of the waves and many family game nights, with the included games. We all enjoyed the gorgeous salt water pool and lying on the deck chairs. Heidi recommend a lovely restaurant minutes away “Tropical Breeze”;the food and service was excellent. This will be a tradition for our family for many years to come. Thank you for having us !!! We hope to book again next year. Helene !

Blue, Blue, Blue

We loved Ribbon of Blue and Exuma! The house is perfectly situated with calm waters for kids and floating adults and beautiful color in the evening light! The prettiest waters I’ve ever seen are in Exuma. The roads, especially the unpaved ones, are very rough and bumpy. We had a lot of laughs in our large van as we bounced around. We had one of our best family vacations ever ….loved the layout of the house, too!

This house was everything we wanted and more .very clean .very nice also I may add it has a very good backup generator and for island life it is a must for a happy vacation it was used about 3 times this week and we didn't even know it switched over.thank you for such a great time

Family Celebration Vacation

Thank you Ribbon of Blue and owners for an unforgettable family vacation. Every day and night was a treasure to each of the 9 of us . You gave us so many choices inside and outside to enjoy. We all felt little reason to leave your premises once we arrived…celebrating Dad’s retirement, Mom’’s 66th birthday and their 44th wedding anniversary. You were the perfect set up for any family or group of friends with your 2 private cabanas and spacious, airy upstairs bedrooms. Five great bathrooms, washer, dryer and outside shower made life easy.! Your open style kitchen, dining and living room all were very comfortable and so scenic that it was hard to decide where to go - inside or outside - same view either way! It was so comfortable and shady on the deck - lots of napping, reading, talking, eating throughout the day and evening poolside!
