"I brought my two dogs to enjoy some fresh air, nature, and long walks. The place and property looked beautiful from the pictures, sometimes that can be deceiving, however I was absolutely blown away. The photos don’t do it justice. I would like to start out by saying the hosts (Ken & Courtney) were very welcoming and thoughtful, that’s very apparent from the moment to you step into the treehouse. The property is absolutely breathtaking and so very peaceful. My favorite rental I have ever stayed...

"Perfect place to get away from it all. Remote location forces you to unplug & unwind. It was a rainy weekend, but enjoyed hanging on the deck during the down pour and afterwards listening to the rushing of the creek below. On our last day was able to hike the creek to the waterfall with our dog. Suggest a walking stick. Also caught native brook trout in the creek. We look forward to returning. One change we would suggest: make the entrance/address sign at the top of the driveway a little...

"We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is charming and had all amenities we needed for a relaxing few days in the mountains. It is a beautiful scenic drive to get to the nearby towns. We especially enjoyed visiting Blowing Rock and West Jefferson. The creek was lovely."

"Happy Trees is a beautiful cabin and a great place to stay if you are looking to get away. We wentfor the 4th of July, and enjoys fireworks and parade in Boone. There was food delivery which was great after being out all day. I would definitely recommend this cabin to any family or even just a couple looking to log out."

We were traveling with a friend and the cabin splits so each side has a master bedroom - perfect for two couples. We were there just as the leaves were starting to turn and sitting on the deck was the perfect ending to each day. A choice cabin. "
