On the whole it was good, breakfast good, plenty of choice, Room very nice, although the shower took some adjusting to the right temperature, No stair lift, so had to climb 4 flights of stairs with suitcases, being in our seventies was hard work, 😫

A very clean room and a great bed. Our room was at the top of the hotel and I suppose that was our fault for not asking for a room on the first floor as we both have mobility issues. The breakfast was first class and plentiful and the breakfast staff were very polite and friendly. Hoping to be back next year but will ask for a room on the first floor

Not very welcoming receptionist, lots of stairs, no lift, had to carry our cases up three flights, no help offered both in our 80’s. Said on line free parking this is only street parking if you can find a space. Hotel is shabby needs updating. Wouldn’t go back.

Felt sorry for the staff who could only apologise for the condition of hotel. Bed not comfortable Staff tried, but alas hotel is in dire need of investment and a bit of TLC.

Parking on street but plenty of it. Breakfast was decent and the room itself was large and comfortable. Main problem was a lack of hot water so I had to endure a rather cold shower.

The only positive from our stay, if it didn’t Happen, would have actually been a blessing . The front desk agreed to help us check in later than possible by leaving key in lockbox. Unfortunately, same desk clerk told us hotel was in Dumfries which has a road with a similar which led u s to council housing at midnight. Once we discovered the error we have another 1 hour 15 minute ride to “hotel”. Upon arriving, key was in lockbox, room was large but beds were from the 19th century, incredibly uncomfortable and our feet hung off the end. Needless to say after the long drive just to get there it would have Moore comfortable sleeping on the good of my car.

Room clean the staff have done there job however the room is dated, TV had no signal the hot water was cold on arrival content noise from extractor from kitchen, flooring squeaks in the room, shower didn't stay in holder, food at evening not the best chips over cooked staff were very good but the hotel is dated

The room was not serviced on two days out of four - the reason given was that the housekeeper did not work those days. The restaurant was closed for evening meals at short notice. The entrance door was closed and locked early in the evening and my keys did not work on occasions.

The kitchen closed at 8.40 so had to find somewhere else to eat. Shower had a dribble of cold water only. Paint peeling off walls in the bedroom. I asked for a partial refund as the shower not working which was flatly denied. Whole place was in very poor condition. I’d never stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Didn't have a very good experience at the Golf Hotel & was really disappointed for the money paid. Was given a twin room instead of a deluxe double room (which i'd paid more for). Had arranged for an early check-in with hotel for an extra £20 but this had been forgotten about. Tried to make conversation with the member of staff checking me in but got nothing back. Room had a lovely view of the green but curtains were hanging off rail. The bathroom had an awful smell to it & toilet didn't flush properly. The bath hadn't been cleaned properly & cups provided in room were dirty. Overall the hotel was very dated & unwelcoming.

Well located hotel for golf at Silloth. The properties decor is a bit tired and in need of some maintenance. The days we stayed there was only one young member of staff on and she had to look after arrivals, bar work and serving of food. Naturally it was a very slow and frustrating evening for customers as she was run off her feet. How she kept a smiling face I do not know. Some of us even asked if we could help her serve behind the bar to relieve the backlog. She politely refused our offers as not allowed. The manager should be ashamed!
