"The hotel and the pub are very tired and in desperate need of rlc and upgrade/refurb. Stains on everything from floors to ceiling. Chairs in the room and the bar that should be in the bin. The cleaners do a great job but the whole place needs dealing with. Green King you are better than this. "

It was showing some signs of 'old age' with a bit of plaster coming off the ceiling and dated furniture but the hotel is undergoing a lot of refurbishment and modern furniture would probably not be in keeping in an older building. "Difficult review. On the one hand, perfect location, great view, good bed, very helpful staff and nice food. On the other hand, the room was very uncomfortable. Unbearably hot with windows that only open a crack. Very low sloped ceilings in about half the room (which was already tiny). Okay if you're under 5 foot five.
