"The worst, the bed bugs. They bit us and we had to kill many of them, full of blood. Also spiders, roaches, lettuce inside the drawers, a lot of dust and dirtiness below the bed, hairs in the towels,…a real disaster. "

"We had a great time in Thun. The views in pictures are one thing but when you’re there standing on the balcony, it’s priceless! The house was very spacious and in a great location. A big thanks to Eva Maria who was very hospitable. We would like to return sometime in the future."

"This is a great little rental. Clean, nicely decorated and the bed was super comfortable. All the essential supplies were there also many extra supplies. The water pressure in the shower is phenomenal. We were only here one night, I wish we would have stayed longer. It was within waking distance from the train station. There are some slopes but I wheeled two 18kg bags up them. (I'm in fairly good shape.)"

When we contacted the host, they dismissively claimed bugs are "common in the mountains"—an excuse I've never heard in all my years of mountain travel. To make matters worse, the beds had unclean sheets, ancient and sagging 15-year-old mattresses,...
