A visit to our old friends in Derby was made even more delightful by having this cozy and accommodating property to stay in. With three of us adults and one little terrier the house was very comfortable giving us each rooms to sleep in and places to relax with the television and to enjoy our meals that were eaten there. The house was located only blocks from our friends’ homes and from Dillon’s for groceries and close to great restaurants like The Rib Crib and The Riverside Cafe! We even enjoyed a few outings in Wichita to see The Sedgwick County Zoo, The Keeper of the Plains, the first Pizza Hut, and Kansas Aviation Museum near McConnell Air Base. My daughter enjoyed walking her pup in the neighborhood, getting to do some laundry, and room to cook herself a dinner if we were out visiting friends. The hosts were very responsive to my communications. For your stay here be sure to bring some slippers so you can remove outdoor shoes and support the clean environment you get to stay in.

The B&B was not good. The host did not provide basic supplies such as dishwasher detergent, a pot scrubber for the dishes, laundry detergent and 1 garbage bag for the entire house. There were bugs in the house and I saw a cockroach in the kitchen! The front door had a shattered glass panel that was a definite safety hazard. The deck furniture definitely needs to be replaced. And, they also overcharged me according to the internet’s price listing. I contacted the host about my concerns. They said they would refund me the erroneously charged monies. That was a month ago. No response since. Bad, bad, bad. Don’t stay here!!!!

Very clean and host was quick to communicate. Saw some bugs and owner said they would address it. Could use some more silverware and kitchen utensils. Other than that, it was a great place!

My family and I had a great time staying here during our visit. Owners were respectful and communicated in a timely manner. Check in and check out were simple and we didn't have any unreasonable request of us during our stay. I would stay here again if I return to the area.

Marjorie is a wonderful host who is very quick to respond to any questions. We stayed in her home with a few family members while in town for our daughter’s wedding. We were all very comfortable and it was a wonderful place to hang out together and to come back to after a long day of festivities! I wholeheartedly recommend a stay in this beautiful home!

Double booked our stay

I booked five months in advance and they did not find the double booking until the day before our stay even though they had messaged me months prior. The reason for booking was my graduation and all other places in town or within an hour radius were booked and I was unable to find a different location with such short notice.

Derby Stay

Family from various parts of the country were coming together and it was important for us to be in Derby. This home was perfect for us! We had more than enough bedrooms and bathrooms. The living room and dining area gave us space to socialize comfortably. The lower level worked out well for those who needed to work remotely (with reliable WiFi!). The heating system worked well during the cold weather that we encountered. And when we licked ourselves out, the hosts were extremely responsive and exceptionally accommodating. Overall, it was a great stay!
