"The parking area was safe and conveniently located to the hotel - no long walks required The hotel was beautiful and had lovely landscaped gardens which were well maintained. Staff were very opleasant and helpful and everywhere was clean It is a historic building with a wow factor but is up to date inside. We had a standard room which was lovely Dinner was great with plenty of choices and we will definitely stay again pamela"

"I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. "El hotel tiene su encanto, pero falta un ascensor lo cual cree dificultades con el equipaje para una persona mayor. El cuarto de baño necesita una ducha movible. Sólo había desayuno continental por problemas en la cocina. Creo que es caro por lo que se ofrece."
