This was the perfect spot with a great view! You felt secluded yet close to everything! It had everything we needed for our 2 kids. The hot tub was a huge hit for my 3 year old. The hosts were super attentive and gave great recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

My husband, myself and our senior furbaby had a great 3 day, 4 night stay at this cabin! The view from the back porch/master bedroom was stunning, we happened to have great timing with the fall foliage/colors. Everything was as advertised and we especially appreciated the privacy, only three neighbors total within eyesight, the hot tub is completely private, and we barely even knew the others were there. The cabin was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The directions to the cabin were clear, we had no issues finding or driving up to it, and check in/out was an absolute breeze. We appreciated that we didn't have to strip beds or worry about any chores other than washing the dishes (by hand, no dishwasher, but no biggie!) before heading back home. This cabin has a lot of cute little touches too, from the bear paw oven mitt to the word search wall-art by the toilet. The only thing we would have changed was the shower-head - since the shower is a stall and I'm fairly short I found myself getting sprayed in the face constantly with no way to escape it as the shower-head wasn't adjustable down far enough. But that's small potatoes for an otherwise fantastic cabin - we would definitely stay here again!

What can I say about this cabin that hasn't already been said at least 10 times over. The drive up to the cabin from the highway is intimating the 1st time, so I suggest that you arrive during daylight hours. After that its a piece of cake or pie... The cabin is extremely well appointed with almost every detail being very well thought out. Although screens for the slider doors would be nice when the weather is cooler. The owners are extremely quick to answer questions. All in all we had a very pleasant stay with simple check in and check out procedures. Would definitely stay at any of Chucks cabins again... 10/10

Beautiful little retreat

Love the location, though the drive to get up there would be much better handled by an SUV than our hybrid sedan. Centrally located to a lot of the little towns and activities, we did the Scenic Railway ride and white water rafting out of Bryson City, gem mining in Cherokee, and relaxed in the hot tub, made a campfire and cooked s'mores, and played games at the cabin. Very comfortable, perfect for two people and the WiFi was actually pretty good for streaming our favorite show.

Toasted Marshmallow Cabin

From day 1 communication with owners was great. The driveway is very steep, but very typical for the area. Whimsical property with fireflies and frogs, very calming and beautiful mountain view! We felt extremely safe, and even got a wave from the neighbors across the way which was reassuring as a mom with 1 kid on the trip! Everyone in town was friendly, swinging bridge 2 minutes away from property! Fully stocked comfortable stay, with great phone signal!!! I requested an accomodation to add another day and the owners were so prompt in response cannot speak higher of their service amongst the stay! Highly reccommend!!!!

Cute little house with everything you'd need to get away for a few days. The view is beautiful, not far from Cherokee and Sylva. Just the right size for our 2 dogs and our son. No complaints would recommend for sure.

Birthday celebration in the mountains

We booked our weekend trip to Toasted MarshMellow at the last minute to celebrate my birthday. Chuck and Sandy are excellent hosts. They checked in with us to make sure we had everything needed for our trip. We have stayed at several of the cabins offered and we keep coming back because we always have a wonderful stay. The views are incredible. The cabins are fully stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. Their location is private yet convenient to all local activities. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. There are board games for the kids. For me being a pet parent a special touch was a basket with towels for the doggies. Our pups always love exploring. Thanks for a fantastic visit.I’m sure we will be back in a few months !

Quiet and relaxing weekend.

We stayed here the weekend before Christmas 2024, and it was perfect. The cabin is near a few other properties, but far enough away to where you don’t hear or see other people. The cabin was also decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. The kitchen was well-stocked for a rental property. It was nice and cold during our stay so we really enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin is also conveniently located between Sylva and Bryson City if you want to go out and explore the area. We had a great stay, and would definitely book here again!

Exceptional

The cutest and daintiest little cabin we have stayed in. It was perfect for my husband and I. It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. The host is very responsive and was always there for any questions we had. The location was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. We loved sitting outside by the fire pit and hopping in and out of the hot tub relaxing. It was a getaway from a busy couple of months for the holiday season. It is exactly what we needed and we rested and enjoyed the comfort of the cabin. The location has a great view overlooking the mountains. The Location of the fire pit and hot tub is private and peaceful. It was decorated for Christmas and extremely clean. The owners of the cabin think of everything you need. Has plenty of games to play at night, TVs in every room, K beds in both of the bedrooms, which are very comfortable. he is the perfect place for a small family or a 2 couples. We will be back.

Beautiful Mountains

Quiet, private, and cozy! Enjoyed the fire pit. Found plenty to do in the area -- hiking, Bryson City, Maggie Valley, and Great Smoky Mountain Railway. Glad to help support the local economies after Helene took so much.

Fall Mountain Getaway

Game Day Getaway

Toasted Marshmallow is such a cute cabin and has something for everyone: unique decor, outdoor covered seating, a fire pit with more chairs, and a gurgling garden fountain. Just right for 2-5 people! The only real issue is the gravel access road, which requires a slow and steady attack in order to make it tonthe top. Our host, however, offered very cleqr instructions on how to do that, and we had no problems.

41st Anniversary
